If we could find a way to win this game i would feel a whole lot better about this season. Even if we continue to struggle afterwards it would show that we CAN compete against championship caliber teams. Go Suns!

If we don't play like we did against Detroit, then we're screwed, simple as that.

Bynum vs. Shaq part 2. Should be a good one.

you guys seem too match up well against us, Shaq is strong and Bynum kinda struggle with stronger centers, Amare and Gasol should be a good match up too. Plus Lakers have come out flat and have played sloppy in the last 2 games, getting big leads then letting opponents get back into the games by getting away from what got them the lead. anyway, i think you guys a have a shot if we look like we looked in the past two games

Shaq and Bynum should be a decent match up. Same goes for Amare and Gasol, both kinda cancels each other out because neither can defender the other. I have a feeling it's going to be a good game because this is against a division rival and so most likely both teams would come out fired up. We can only win this game if we play them like we played Detroit. If we don't then we're gone. Certainly doesn't help to not have Barbs with us and considering our only Kobe "stopper" is Bell who's like 30, I think Kobe will most likely have his way with us. We have a good chance if we play better team defense because the head-to-head match ups aren't in our favor unfortunately.

Shaq=Bynum (to a certain extent)
Amare=Gasol
Barnes<Radmanovic (I would say)
Bell<Kobe
Nash> Fisher

Their bench is also much much deeper than ours since we don't have Barbs.

Their bench is much better than ours with or without Barbosa.

I have a feeling Bynum is going to have his way on the boards with Shaq.

i dont think so. shaq wont allow that.

this game will make bynum realize that he is far from being a baby shaq.

AFAIK no-one has had there way with shaq on the boards this season when he's been on the court and not ejected/sitting with fouls, he's just too big.

Their bench is crazy efficient...We're going to have to watch Farmar/Odom/Ariza when they come in.
The Lakers are a known commodity now, beating them is another story though...

Did you miss the Utah game?

I hope I'm wrong, but that's my guess.

Beating the Lakers requires man-on-man at all times - no exceptions for 1 second. No leaving anyone alone at the three for one second. If SUNS cannot supply constant man coverage then the game is over - unless they are shooting poorly.

It's still early. The Lakers are 8-1 but if we lose then we have went 1-2 in the last 3 so we want to win this game as well. Should be a great game. GOOD LUCK :D

Hehe sometimes I like to put pictures up when we have a huge game against a great basketball team. That Raja bell pic is priceless and whenever we play the Lakers I like to put it up to show we aint scared of anyone and will play physical. :)

LA is the better team. to beat this team in a game or in the playoffs, suns have to outsmart them on the court and suns have those players who can do that (except barbs, diaw and amare)..

shaq can intimidate bynum
pau is soft physically and mentally ( just like amare though)
kobe has a tendency to be selfish, and let him play selfishly

good thing is, nash doesnt have to work much in his indivual defense against fisher.

kobe can score 40 and still lose
but odom has always dominated the suns...but that was in the dantoni era..

interesting game...

That's going to be hard because NOBODY can D up Kobe one-on-one. To stop Kobe it's going to be a team effort. Only way we can beat LA, is if we can get one of their 3 starters (Kobe, Gasol or Bynum) in foul trouble, because right now we can't match up to them man on man.

But like nashill said, if we can contain their front court, then Kobe is going try and make it a one man show again and we've seen him shoot his team to a loss. Pre-Gasol trade, the game plan for pretty much every team was to stop Kobe. Now that they have Gasol and with Bynum back and better than before, we can only beat them if we contain their front court. Because if we can contain their front court, it's going to be Kobe trying to drop 40 on us, and it's fine if we stop the others from scoring. Pretty much Kobe is unstoppable, but Bynum and Gasol aren't.

I see Shaq dominating the paint in the game. There's a lot of history with Lakers, Kobe and Bynum, hopefully he can get out that (I dunno what you call it) and unleash it on the Lakers.

Pretty much sums it up.....I just don't want to hear Barkley run his mouth about how bad the Suns are.
