Well it's cheaper than J-Rich's contract, too bad it for 3 or 4 more years. We'd be a better team with Maggette though, imo.

We would, but we'd still be mediocre. If we took Maggs, then maybe we'd get Randolph out of it, but then what? Then we'd have Maggette taking up cap space and we'd be in this awkward "fighting for 8th seed" position instead of truly rebuilding.

Sucks that Miami's not giving up Beasley :/

If GS was desperate enough to shed salary that they'd include both Curry AND Randolph(not happening, I realize) in exchange for us taking on Maggette AND Radmanovic...I mean, we'd be financially screwed to heck, but we'd have a nice young core.

It depends on what Miami wants next year:
Alston
Wade
James Jones
Amare
JO (Assuming he re-signs for cheap)

or

Alston
Wade
JJ
Beasley
Bosh
+ Beasley got hurt tonight.

- As for a GS deal. I'd take Maggette if it meant having a PF-C combo of Randolph and Lopez for the next decade or so.

- Still want T-Will though.

Yeah, from what i am understanding GS is looking to dump anyone and everyone to cut salary so they can sell the team.

Ric Bucher tweeted that the Warriors may look to move everyone and anyone to shed salary so that Cohan could sell the team.

Some of you guys really want Maggette? As said on another message board, Maggette is Bad Porn. Sure there's lots of penetration and scoring, but in the end, you're just left unsatisfied.

Maggette is a 20ppg scorer on over 50% from the field. He could easily replace Amare's production.

Only problem with having Randolph and Lopez it they're kinda thin. I know Lopez is a good defender but how will he do against some of the big dogs for most of the game? Same with Randolph. I just see them getting out muscled in the post. :(
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

- So far NJ trade sounds the most palatable. At least we get picks, prospects, and future financial flexibility.

-I think GS would have to offer us something enticing to take Maggette's contract. Like I'm talking about AR, Curry, 1st(top3 protected). Problem is they don't seem "that" desperate to dump salary. The looming CBA renegotiation/lock-out also has me worried about risking our financial future.

-I get the feeling MIA wants Bosh rather than Amare. And to them "dangling" JO in front of us. :curse:

I don't think we want him, it's just we might have to take him if we want Randolph. That's if the rumors are true about the GS talks being back on.

I'm normally inclined to agree with you but somehow Maggette is actually playing well this season. It's abnormal and freaking me out, but he's scoring at an incredibly efficient rate this year

Randolph is a freak athlete. You can't teach that, you can however get stronger. Plus his wingspan is longer than Greg Oden's.......

There was an article I read that said Miami saw Bosh as the better defender, to which I say "NO DUH"

Bosh averaging 24 and 11. Amare averaging 20 and 8. That's the difference between a Max contract.

True. I just hope he can bigger. Like 230ish. Then I'd be happy :)

I sort of want to make a thread about this, but since KLEENEX has made one about everything possible and it's mother, I'll post this here:

Bruce Jacobs has made some very good assessments of Amar'e stoudemire today on his podcast. Check it out if you're a suns fan. http://phoenix.fanster.com/2010/01/27/s ... eal-amare/

It begins at about 43 minutes( the beginning is NFL playoff talk)

Beware of scorers who play well on crappy teams.
He COULD replace Amare's offensive production but we'd probably lose a lot of games. Also, Maggette's stats are somewhat deceiving. He's shooting +50% on fg but he's still streaky, 10-17 one night, then 3-22 the next. He's always put up good fg% and rebounds well (6.2) but he's a bad 3pt shooter(25% this year) and doesn't share the ball much (2.5:2.6 Ast:TO). I just don't see him fitting in well with this team.

Like Burningheart said, Bad Porn.

Yeah I thought it was awesome, but then again, pretty much everything at bright side is. I definitely recommend any and all Suns fans to check that community out.

ugh this is such a stressful time to be a fan, I think I would be excited though if we were rolling out a clark, randolph, lopez frontline in the future
