Something like this could work...

You really think the Cavs want Shaq AND Brand on the same team? Plus, they trade away two of their three point guards.

If they can land Amare they might do it...

Yuck at any Chicago deal.

Iggy's not in his prime tough. He's 26. Most people don't hit their actual prime til they're like 28. Which is even more perfect. I'd want speights as the filler. Then get rid of J-Rich any way we can. And LB's looking very expendable right now too. A guard lineup of Nash, Iggy, and Dragic, would be sick. They can all handle the ball, Dragic and Nash can drain 3's, they can all get in the lane and pass, and Dragic and Iggy will defend. Long contract of Iggy's be darned! He's worth every penny!

25-30 are their prime years. Iggy is 25 now and his deal runs through 2014 i think. He will never run faster, jump higher and defend better than ages 25-30. Saw it on Sports Science.

If you've EVER watched a cav's game, you'd know this trade is completely absurd. Nothing about it makes any sense at all. They got Jamario Moon to back up Lebron, considering he was their only small forward last year. You're basically asking them to give up 5 players that help and contribute to their team. Z plays consistently, Jawad Williams has been great while Moon was hurt, who's been great while healthy, Delonte's one of the very few players on the team who can create his own shot, and Gibson's been draining 3's all year. To get Amare.

I bet a year or 2 in Phoenix will make him a more consistent shooter... I believe we agree that he'd be sick in a Suns jersey. And if that's right about 25-30, we'd get him for his best 5 years

Mike Brown would make Amare a decent defender and rebounder.

A trade scenario that would send Amare Stoudemire and Jason Richardson to the Pacers in exchange for Danny Granger, Troy Murphy, and Mike Dunleavy Jr. would make sense for both teams. The Suns could get an upgrade over Grant Hill at small forward and a star player to build around for the future in Granger. Murphy and Dunleavy would provide the Suns with some much needed pop in their lineup. The team would lose their best post-presence, but gain a plethora of players who can have a chance to gel and make a pretty solid tea; granted if they could all stay healthy.

Meanwhile the Pacers would get a superstar in Amare, and some scoring punch with Jason Richardson. The Pacers could have a nice core for the next few years with Stoudemire, Richardson, Brandon Rush, and Tyler Hansbrough. With those pieces in place, the Pacers could build around that foundation and find players who fit into the team; something the Pacers have been unable to do with Granger.

Granger is a stud, I want that trade with Indy even over the Philly deal.

What is your source for that excerpt?

I don't really want Granger. I like him, but I can't help it -- I'd rather see what Clark can do at SF.

I don't see Indiana trading their centerpiece player for Amare, who no doubt would not want to stay in Indiana, which is not a particularly glamorous locale, nor is it a winning franchise.

Here's a deal that works financially. What do you all say?

Phoenix Gets: Iggy, JJ Hickson
Philadelphia Gets: Ilgauskas, Daniel Green, CLE 2011 1st round pick (unprotected), CLE 2010 2nd round pick (via PHX), PHX 1st round pick in 2012 (lotto protected)
Cleveland Gets: Stoudemire

Anything that sends Igoudala to Phoenix is a good trade

Here is the most likely scenario to update those who haven't read pages 92-100...

Sixers would do a deal of Iggy/Jason Smith for Amare IF and ONLY IF they have another deal lined up where either Dalembert or Brand are being traded for expiring contracts. They would then either try to flip Amare for another expiring plus young players or use him until next season and look to trade him then, or let him expire.

Sixers have talked to Cavs, with talks centering around Z, Hickson, Jawad Williams, Wally in exchange for Iggy/Filler. Likely filler would be Kapono, but could also be Dalembert. Again, nothing likely to happen unless Sixers can find a taker for Dalembert or Brand, with expirings coming back.

Sixers have discussed potential of trading Iggy/Brand/1st round pick (top 5 protected) for JRich/Amare and Suns may do that deal. Not sure if Sixers would, but the deal has been discussed.

Sixers would like to include Dalembert/Kapono/Smith for JRich in an Iggy/Amare swap. Variations of that are also being discussed.

Nothing is imminent but talks were heating up yesterday.

Nothing will likely get done anytime soon unless Suns blow Philly out of the water with an offer. Reason for this is that Philly has Dallas calling in next week to discuss potential deals, and they want to hear from everyone before they pull the trigger. Iggy is definitely on the block and will likely be traded, as long as Brand or Daly go with and expirings come back.

Speights, Jrue, Thad are NOT being discussed and will not be discussed unless equal youth and talent are coming back in return. i.e. (Dragic, Lopez)

Do the Suns seem interested in taking Brand or Dalamberts contract?

+1. We'd have all 5 positions of the future. Hickson will be a stud.

Hasn't Cleveland been virtually ruled out? They don't see Amare as a fit with Shaq.

Philly would never do that trade proposed by wormwood. 1st rders are meaningless from Cleveland and I doubt Kerr trades any future 1st rders either. I think he's learned his lesson.

If it was top 5 protected this year, I wouldn't do it. Top 1 maybe and then unprotected in 2011.

That's how bad Brand's contract really is.
