Why is this?

They'd be sending out Stoudemire (1, maybe 2 years) and Richardson (2 years) for Jamison (3 years, $15mil in final year) and Butler (2 years). Only expiring would be Miller... but the Suns would essentially trade up in terms of salary commitments.

Why do we want expirings? I'd rather be guaranteed valuable players now then most definitely strike out and rebuild later in the offseason.

Hell bring Arenas AND West here and they can pack all the guns they want and Sheriff Joe wouldnt say sh*t! (except for West as they might think he is part mexican)

I say screw it, Send Nash off in the offseason and pick-up Arenas (would be a FA as the Wiz are looking to void his contract)

1. Amare for T-Will, Simmons, Yi + 2011 NJ 1st Round Pick.

2. Amare + Barbosa for Iggy, Dalembert + Future 1st Round Pick.

3. Let amare walk and sign David Lee.

I don't understand why people don't understand we won't be able to do this. You can go over your cap to sign your own free agents. To sign a UFA you can not. We will only be 7 million under the cap in the off season. David Lee is not signing for 7 million a year.

Sign him to a 5 year deal equivlent to 9 mil per year and start his first year at 7 mil. Then when J-Rich, Hill and Frye expire in 2011 gradually increase his yearly income.

Don't know if GSW would do this but it'll save them $14 mil after J-Rich expires or $30 mil in two years if they decide not to resign Amare. In the last scenario during 11/12 season they'll only have Monta and Turiaf (if he picks up his option) under contract so they'll be able to build a team any way they like.

Phx gets - Biedrins, Curry, Randolph, Maggette and Bell
GSW get - Amare, J-Rich, Griffin, picks (lottery protected)

As soon as you realize that Amare will never re-sign in GS, your trade ideas will become better! :D

I got this idea because i saw this on GSW board. Don't know how true it is

Buch said the W's are now looking to dump salary in a Pho-GS trade and Amare resigning or not resinging wont be factored in.

Amare will resign where ever he gets the most money even if thats with GSW.

Interesting. GS would have to offer something really good in order for Sarver to take on long-term salary.

If GS doesn't want to take on salary they won't take JRich. They'll probably ask us to take on Maggette/Radmanovic/Beans or something. Generally speaking, the team taking ON salary should get some sweetener(in fantasy land, Curry/Randolph), but Sarver isn't going to take on salary either, so I don't see how we make good trading partners.

I could see us taking on Beans if they throw in AR and/or Curry. However, no way Sarver agrees to take on Maggette and adding Radmonovic would be pointless as we would have to add LB or JRich to make the numbers work.

You're a lot more likely to see him in handcuffs than a Suns uni.

I think there's one kink in the Amare to the Nets plan: Will getting Amare start to ruin their chances at the Wall pick? It'll take a lot of work for them to get out of the top 3 worst teams, but still.

They can't put all their hopes into it though. Still good players outside of Wall. Plus, only 3 teams with the worst records have won the lottery ('90 Nets, '03 Cavs, and '04 Magic) since this weighed system started. Odds are against them.
