I know the soft Suns' homers would throw a hissy fit but could you imagine a front-line of Landry and Lopez? Teams would fear the paint for the first time since Barkley/Chambers. I'd be fine with Lee, Green or Landry.
-Lee would prob demand 10 mil per.
-Landry makes 3 mil per.
-Green makes 4 mil
-Beasley and Thomas make around 5 mil per.

All of which add up to Amare if he had a Max Contract

Voted for Beasley, the youngest guy, has the most potential and best trade value wise for Amare. Right now he's playing on a half court team but imagine him playing in the Suns system? I wouldn't be surprised if he put up Amare type numbers.

I said Jeff Green, he'd be great here. None can hold a candle to Amare but I'd take him over the others.

jeff green is a good choice. I think beasley is lazy, david lee wont take over games. If the suns are going to blow this up then give earl clark a consistent shot. he is playing inconsistent and very rookie like but this si why they drafted him so they can reap the benefits if he "gets it".

Green would be a franchise PF. I dunno if OKC would trade for Amare though, kind of a small market.

The only logical choice here is Lee, me think. Beasely and Green both have high potential but they all play the SF, the same position that EC55 plays. An all-around SG or PF/C is what we need.

Miami has 10 expiring contracts including 22 mil from J O'neal. The might be able to afford Amare in free agency. Start him at center and put B-Easy at PF along with a Maxed-out Wade. Possibly.

Why the heck mention what Green or Landry makes. Green is on a rookie deal, Beasley as well. Both are tweeners. Hell Beasley is just a tad over 6'8.

Lee will get maxed out by someone, he is simply a worse player than Amare and horrible on defense too.

A Lopez/Landry frontline is going to put fear into anyone, a Green/Lopez frontline is an utter joke.

He is utterly horrible on defense. He is a 6'9 center, he plays center because there aren't too many centers who are any good offensively.

If a trade to the Thunder happened it better be a damn good package.

I like the idea of Landry in phoenix. He'd bring some of that Rocket's tenacity that we've been lacking. I didn't know that the rockets want Amare though. What else would we get from them?

I don't think that the Green/Lopez front line is that bad. I think that Green has potential to be a very good power forward and from the OKC trade posted here looks like we'd get a lot of young talent in return, although I'm not sure they'd take JRich.

Marion was not a PF. If you had to put a traditional position on him, than yes, as the taller player, he was the 4. But at 6-7, he is a SF, plays like a sf and guarded players from 1-5. We ran more like an undersized college team with 3 guards and 2 forwards. Which was small ball, run and gun etc.

Maybe change your title from realistic replacement to considerable downgrade. Beasley is lazy, landry is a scrappy player, but will make us worse. I like green, but he is not a franchise F at all. Ty thomas is nothing special at all either. I watched Lee last night. He is an ok outside shooter, is short, short arms and cant jump. he rebounds well, plays ok D, but when he gets down low, he has a hard time against bigger players. He is a decent passer too.

Look at the lakers, the blazers, boston and the past spurs teams. they have big front courts. We need size.

I agree with Mary. Beasley has the most upside and would be my preference for an Amare replacement.

it sounds cynical to call them replacement, aside from Landry who is definitely not available to us.

David Lee plays defense?

He's also going to want more than 10 mil per, considering he's going to end up averaging something along the lines of 20, 12, and 4 this year on 55% shooting.
