Was about to bash Usman’s stand up after round 1. Then I saw one of the most perfect straights ever landed on one of the best striking defenders in the ufc. Amazing

Usman was throwing smoke the whole fight. Jorge wasn't taking that heat seriously enough. God damn

It did feel like Jorge was in Usman's head just a little bit, Usman got real sloppy towards the end of R1 with those looping shots but Wittman clearly got him back on track between rounds and man, what a perfect finish.

He's clearly the P4P #1 right now, just utterly untouchable. Colby has been the only one who was able to compete with him and that was a far inferior version of Usman, this version smokes Colby.

Smesh Machine needs to get rolling again because he's gunna be the one to truly bring a great fight out of Usman.

Dunno if Colby has anything for him now.

A fighter with a career 35 wins, 12 wins in the UFC is a one hit wonder? what is your issue with Jorge?

He just lost to the #1 P4P fighter in the world.

Ehh he's annoying for reasons you've already mentioned but this isn't fair, he's legitimately a really really good fighter. He's just not championship level and lost to one of the GOATs. There's no shame in that.

Usmans gonna want to hurry up and win a few more and retire before smesh uses through the ranks to him. No one deserves that kind of brutality

There's absolutely no shame in that, of course. He just shouldn't ever be a main event headliner like he's been.

Hard to complain with three championship stoppages. I dig 5 round wars, but there's also the 5 rounders that bore the hell out of you. I don't mind them wrapping up a little early.

He should get one more with DIaz. Then a fight with Colby as a "co-main event". Then be just the second or third fight on main cards against top 5 guys until he retires or is relegated to gate-keeper.

Okay I'll ask it - what does Usman have to do for it to become a real discussion between him and GSP?

Maia-RDA-Woodley-Colby-Masvidal-Burns-Masvidal is an absolutely insane run. Literally all killers. If he beats Colby in a rematch and then whoever is after that (Leon or Wonderboy?), idk man. The discussion gets interesting

I believe Usman has improved considerably since training with Wittman. I am not impressed that he beat Masvidal but I am impressed with how he did it. I didn't think he would finish him on the feet.

With that said, I think Usman and Colby are by far the two best WW's in the world and I think there is a legitimate possibility that he finishes Colby earlier in the rematch. Usman's really cleaned up his boxing.

I personally would have preferred it go longer but yeah the 3 title fight stoppages were cool. Especially the last two. Valentinas one was almost expected coz she’s just so much better than everyone.
