Watching Davis vs Barrios right now. What's with this weird guard that Barrios has?? He's hoding his right hand forward too far. Tank is getting around with hooks. It's super peculiar and unnatural.

Oh OK. Davis just stopped him as I write this. LOL

LOL some judge only gave Barrios 2 of the first 6. The others only 3. Davis was not going to be let to lose. Tank's mom wouldn't have the gall to give him that third round.

Haven't seen much of Barrios and I didn't see this fight because I don't see it as PPV worthy. He was one of those secondary champions a the WBA created for ****s and giggles to get more sanctioning fee money. The WBA is awful. They have a super champion, a regular champion and an interim champion in every weight class except 108, 112 and the bridgerweight divisions. They have two different champions at both 108 and 112 and the only reason they don't have a single champion at bridgerweight is because the WBC is the only sanctioning body that recognizes that made up division. Its insane especially when in many of these divisions (including the 140lb division) the real title holders are active and regularly defending his belt. No reason for any of that nonsense.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

I think his talent might have a ceiling, considering that he has such a conservative guard, relies on pressure, and uses his power as a fail-safe. But he's a real animal. LOL @ his body work while stunned from getting clipped. That's real trust in your power...to be hurt, in a maelstrom, and to be going to the body. He's great.

What can Plant possibly offer to Canelo? I understand this is the last belt and Canelo ought to do it. But it's really just a technicality. I would bet my thumbs that Canelo finishes him, it's just a formality. Plant is feather-fisted and immobile. The tricky angles aren't going to matter when Canelo is banging the bdoy.

Love Pac man, love guys who like to fight. In stark contrast to Floyd who ducked everyone and chooses his fights, Pac man still out here at 42 challenging himself and fighting some of the very best. That said, after this loss the only fight that really makes sense is a rematch and if he doesn't want that fight then that shows he doesn't think he can win, which he can't, let's be honest. Ugas deserved the win. It's probably time for him to hang up the gloves and focus on his political career. Gonna miss that guy though. Love the passion and heart and fight you always showed Champ!

Pac should hang them up. But he won't. His next fight will be a circus one, probably against McGregor or something.

Didn't watch, but whomever sanctioned the Holyfield fight needs to be fired.

Wasn't much to watch. Holyfield is shot. A fight with Tyson or Roy Jones Jr. might be interesting. You know old guys that all punch at the same speed now. Fighting younger guys is just a recipe for disaster. The fast twitch muscle fibers are shot and they can't respond. That's what happened to Holyfield.

Yeah...Tyson would murder Holyfield now. He carried Roy Jones Jr to that "draw". Not saying Tyson would beat Wilder or anything crazy but he's a few tiers above those two. But there was no chance that anyone drug tested either fighter, especially Belfort. Not exactly back when he was Super Vitor but still fueled by his faith and more importantly lots of TRT.

I still hate HW boxing. The 135-175ers have literally 10x the skill and talent. But, yeah, this is exciting stuff given strategy, stakes, and psychodrama. Pumped.

I cant imagine what Wilder’s reaction will be if loses by decision and not KO. He’s still in denial about the last fight and feels like he was cheated so he’s already prepping everyone if he loses on the cards. I actually wouldnt be surprised if during the fight he gets frustrated and he feels Fury is using dirty tactics to do something crazy. The guy wears his emotions on a sleeve.

Not much that I have seen. He's got skills but he's pretty untested for a challenger. Still its the right fight for Canelo right now.

Fury coming in 290-300 lbs, it sounds like. LOL. The fat over his kidneys is so nasty.

You have to wonder whether this is strategy or whether it's motivation.

I know it could be all talk but he sounded plenty motivated when he spoke to Ariel this week. Says he has to train his ass off twice a day to keep from spiralling into a depression. Said he needs to do it for his own health and will to the day he dies.

Some inspirational type stuff in the interview too. Was pretty great

Can’t see it going any way but an absolute bullying again. Wilder is going to have to win very very early.
