Eh that sucks. Didn’t want max to win but thought he easily deserved that win.

And now we will hear the mob call it a robbery. 3-2 Volk is reasonable.

I had Holloway winning. He returned all the leg kicks, dropped him in two rounds, won at least one other round (IMO) and controlled the center of the octagon. He got right back up after every takedown as well.

Octagon control only counts IF you can't decide a winner from striking and grappling.

3-2 either way was reasonable.

It would be a fight that deserves a rematch, if it wasn't already a rematch.

Ya I could see the tossup for round 3. Thought 1,2 was clearly Max, 4,5 was clearly Volk. Also thought Volk did more damage in the 3rd. Definitely a close fight, but I saw it 3-2 Volk and thought it was definitely a reasonable call.

Round 3 was a tossup, but Max probably had it.

Still, I'd be heated if I lost my belt like that. Tie goes to the champ.

Really hope we dont see Usman vs Woodley 2.0 right now. I have a feeling we will. I think Usman gets a little taste of Jorge's stand up and its a grit and grind 5 round decision for Usman.

Yeah, exactly. Rounds 1-2 100% Max, Rounds 4-5 100% Volk.

Round 3 was basically a draw, which should go to the champ every time, IMO.

Yeah I know. I still though max controlled everything before the 5th.

I thought max beat him easily even if 3-2. 4th was a tossup but thought max controlled. First two he dominated and I thought he won the 3rd.

This is way I don't like quick title rematches. Close fight. Suppose Holloway got the nod. We'd have to have a third fight or it'd be unfair to Volkanovski (since he won the first one).

Woodley is a ways away from a title shot, IMO.

super close fight but one guy turned it up a bit more after the first 2 rounds...max took first two and got confident and didnt keep the pressure and momentum and it swung, didnt swing by much but it swung

No Im not saying Woodley for a title shot (I think those days are long gone). Im talking about how the fight coming up right now is going to play out. I think Usman goes at it like he did the Woodley fight and just grit and grinds out a 5 round fight.

That's totally fair - i had both 3rd and 4th as close rounds, 3-2 either way and even 4-1 Holloway, but i'm not against Volk winning the last 3 rounds. I know you can't just take the numbers and base it on that - but Volk outlanded Max in all three rounds - 3, 4 and 5.

Yea, Woodley is 3-4 wins away from a title shot. Lost 10 rounds in a row.

My bad. I think Usman wins, but Masvidal should be more active than Woodley was.

Agreed on both counts.
