ROH (Ring of Honor) Thread

Post#1 » by Coach Smiley » Sun Sep 25, 2011 6:20 pm

About time for an ROH thread? Discuss all things Ring of Honor in here. Past or present.

I've been watching for a long time, not as much now as I used to back in Joe/Punk/NOAH heyday, but I get the new ROH TV show so I will be tuning in every week! Hope to get back into watching the dvds and ppvs more regularly as well.

Didn't we already have a thread a while back? I order older DVD's from a dealer, but they only sell ones through 2007 or so. I've really enjoyed what I've seen, but I'm not able to watch the current product since I don't have cable so it's hard for me to contribute much.

*hoping this doesn't turn into a one person conversation...*

terrific match between Lethal and Generico, crowd was hot for the restart, the tv show is lacking the edge of normal ROH events but looking forward to the world title match next week

The issue is that most of us don't even get Sinclair channels. I'd be right here with you, but it's not even offered by my provider.

There are two membership if you go to ROH site:

-Every Thursday they show the ROH TV new episode on their site for free you got to register for it which is free.

-The other membership is they show it every Monday if you want a new episode plus there are more access but you have to pay for that membership for whatever the cost per month(I think you have a option.)

I'm planning on ordering some Ring of Honor DVD's from the first 4 years or so. Does anyone have recommendations of some of their best cards from their early days?

Dem Boys are the most genuine promo cutters in wrestling. They need more TV time.

Could anyone explain how Nigel is a better announcer than Michael Cole? He shows no knowledge of pro wrestling. Other than that, I'd say ROH puts out the best wrestling of any promotion today. I'm excited to watch it.

Matt Hardy is in Ring of Honor. How much success do you think he can have in this league?

While I never a big fan of the Hardys but I always thought both have potential & talent. I always thought Matt could be a big stars and be very over equally as Jeff I do think WWE drop the ball a few times how they use Matt Hardy when Matt was in the WWE. In TNA have another chance but he screw himself up but I am glad he clean himself up.

In Ring Of Honor I am not sure how much success he will be but if he keep himself clean & good clean I think he get be a successful as long he is over with the crowd. However, the other thing that hold him back is he never good on the mic cutting those promos which will be difficult for him to go to the next level but since he is in RoH he have a shot.
