Blazers/Cavs

Thoughts on a Little for Bates/Isiah Mobley trade?

Blazers need size and both players provide that. Would the Cavs bite?

Seems like Bates and Isiah Mobley have more potential than what Portland has drafted the last 2 years outside of Scoot-Sharpe.

I thought Mobley played well his rookie season? Did he regress since? I don't watch other teams play much so I don't know how good he plays.

Are you talking about Evan Mobley regressing? I’m talking about trading for his older brother Isaiah Mobley.

Oh, that explains it. I didn't know there were two Mobley's.

Seems like there’s a lot of brothers playing together in the NBA… kinda cool IMO lol

The brother didn’t perform well, but he is probably there as a favor to Evan much like the Bucks taking in Giannis’ brother. So he’ll have more value to Cavs than to us. I also assume we can’t get Bates for Little either, especially with Bates on a rookie contract and Little already being on a second more expensive contract.

Kind of like Lillard's cousin getting a two-way contract for two-years in a row.

Isaiah Mobley played extremely well in summer league. Bates and Isaiah Mobley both played well and would be a low risk high reward signings. I believe Isaiah Mobley could be a good role player or better.
