This is not over yet

Link didn't work, so I'm out. Both teams control their destiny.

It's weird. I used to hate the Huskies. But with conference realignment, and Kalen DeBoer actually seeming like a decent player coach, I'm kind of having Lil Bro vibes. Like when we play, I hope we beat the living pants off of you. But when you're playing random teams like Rutgers, Maryland, Illinois, etc. - crush them. Show the Northwest is relevant. Not a viewpoint a lot of Duck fans have. But something I've just noticed.

That said, if Montana wants to beat UW every year, I'm fine with that, too.

Basically, the judge ruled OSU/WSU control the assets of the Pac12 , since the rest of the league
is leaving for greener pastures.

The goal for OSU/WSU is to retain sufficient assets to maintain their athletic programs at their current levels as they
pursue a working relationship with the Mountain West.

Nevada is my #2 team as I'm living in Reno and my sister went there. As a result, I really dislike Boise State. Excited for Lil Bro and Wazzu to kick their butts every year. Plus hopefully I can catch some home games, even if Nevada has no chance.

Wazzu played here a few years back. Thursday game IIRC. Mike Bellotti called the game. Mike Leach went gambling with his daughter and my wife ended up being the dealer. Wife told me after the fact she dealt to "some football guy". Shame because he was a unique character and I probably would have dropped whatever mundane work task I was doing to meet him and ask him some non-football related random question. Wife said "for a football guy, he didn't talk a lot about football", which if you see his interviews, I get. Makes me that much more curious what he was talking about. RIP.

The new Pac 12 conference with OSU/WSU and a reverse merger with the MWC should be a good
conference, worthy of a new media deal by 2026 when the old MWC media expires.

Presumably some settlement of the TV money for 2024 will get done, but the remaining assets of
the Pac 12 could be enough to maintain the athletic programs of USU/WSU for the old media
deal for the MWC guarantees $4 Million while the Pac 12 deal is $30 million. The reason why the
Pac 12 collapsed was that the Pac 12 commissioner wanted $50 million, even after USC/UCLA
announced they were leaving.

It's all about the money for the new B1G deal calls for $7 Billion/7 with roughly $80-100 Million
per school which is why USC.UCLA left in 2022 and why Oregon/Washington ran to the B1G.

Perhaps now OSU/WSU will be able to keep their athletic budgets afloat until their merger with the MWC
gets a new media deal in 2026. Presumably they will settle with the schools that are leaving but it won't be
an even split of the P12 assets
