Is Scoot hurt or Chauncey just low iq? Absolutely insane he didn't play him till halfway through the 3rd after a great first half

Did we not have a time out when down 2 and we let Sharpe go for the fast break? Draw up a play for 3 or wind down the clock for a 2. Even if Sharpe scored they would have plenty of time to get a game winner. Made no sense to me.

Wow, just wow, I can't remember worse mis-management down the stretch.
1. We should have had a turnover when Curry obviously knocked the ball out of bounds and we did not challenge it because we were afraid to lose the timeout? Can we not challenge an out of bounds play??
2. Then when the we could have used the timeout, we did not! It makes absolutely no sense.
3. What the heck is with the TV and no replays of possible bad calls? It is really frustrating to not have replays. When I go to the games, the replays are instant on the big screen, why not on TV??? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Must protect the pick.

The spice must flow.

At this point I believe they are mostly keeping Billups because he makes some bone headed decisions and the plan is to be not great for another 2 years.

I'm sure some will have a huge issue with this but if you are looking at overall trajectory of the team being bad for another 2-3 years is the best way to have a great team down the line. We never are really in the running for big name free agents so we can't compete and have $30+ million in cap space and hope that we get a big name free agent before we have to start re-signing our rookies.

I'm going to have to start calling him Chauncey Kiddupps...

I can pretty easily see a reality where Billups is gone after next year. He really does need to be an assistant.

The Blazers were out of challenges.

The first was a mistake by Hurd, which he corrected. He thought we had a challenge left, but our first challenge was the successful challenge to overturn the Scoot offensive foul call in the first half. And then we lost a second challenge later on.

Ya - I feel that Billups is an ideal early-rebuild coach. He sucks at X and O and will lose some games with this deficiency - which we want for another 1-2 years. The guys seem to love him as a person and he seems like a good coach to help build maturity in the youngsters, sorta a mentor. So he can both ensure the ping pong balls and help mold the kids into men, as they are receptive to a younger former player.

But when we want to win games, we cut bait and get a real coach.

Looks like I'm getting my wish and last couple games getting to see Grant play some SF and he's playing pretty dang well there, at least offensively.

Is it just me or has Grant's defense fallen off a cliff this season? Has he always been this bad or am I just remembering differently?
