Pretty lame deadline but man we are too bad to just stand pat, wish we had something cooking.

We tank when we should be making moves to support Dame then stand pat when we should be tanking and trading vets for as many assets as possible. I think Cronin is the worst gm in the league. Guy hasn't won a single trade.

I have no problems if the Blazers standpat. We don't want more picks this year and if no one wanted to give up picks for future years right now for Grant and Brogdon, that's fine. Revisit in the summer and let them continue to be vet presences in the lockerroom. Especially since Shaedon is out for awhile, possibly the season.

I can't imagine they'll play much in March and April.

No big trade, but this Dalano kid we picked up (for nothing) has some serious potential as a diamond in the rough. When I first saw him play, he gave me pause, and I found myself saying... who's this cat? I think ya'll might get the same feel once you see him play.

Banton seems to be a big PG (6-8 203) who can't shoot but it does help the Celtics clear a roster
spot for the buyout market. Portland gets a free look a a player who they likely will cut in the off
season

He might get a few minutes in March/April when Brogdon gets shut down.

Cost for Banton was a top 55 protected SRP in 2027 , which will not convey.

It'll be interesting to find out if Portland was close to a significant trade deadline move

No. That's not how this works.
Will he impress some Blazers fans?
Possibly. But that's just confirming that we are so talent void that a 3.7ppg backup point guard is somehow an asset.
The fact the pick is top 55 protected should give you an indication of what to expect.
No hate. Wish him the best.

Blazers did nothing but judging by the guard market at the deadline brogdon would have fetched us a couple seconds unless we also took on dead weight.

Wasn't Harkless picked up one time for a top 55 protected pick?

The guy can't shoot a lick however

Harkless was making like $8M/season. Pure salary dump on Orlando's side and a flyer on Portland's side. Same with Thomas Robinson and a dozen other players I'm too unmotivated to name.

I doubt Dalano is a diamond in the rough. And I'd rather Camara get the playing time. But I would also love to be humbled.

Pokusevski is shaking free of OKC — apparently due to his start and stop early career due to injuries.
On a $5 million pricetag should see him clear waivers — IMHO, pick him up after. A big with skills who needs to grow into his body.

I’d rather Thybulle was traded for a Poku package …
