Good for Portland to fight back there after Indiana jumped out to a lead. Scoot had a great quarter, and it’s good to see Kris get some early minutes with Ant out.

Kris has improved from summer league and early season. I'm still not pumped about the pick because I would've preferred a big or someone like a GG Jackson (who's only real big knock was linked to an immature response story). But I'm much less annoyed about the pick these days and you can see he's got potential for a solid future in the league with his threeball and his movement on defense. Just needs to keep getting NBa-quality reps.

I freaking love Jabari Walker. Maybe my favorite player on the team.

I agree -- he needs some reps, but I think he is likely to at least be a solid bench guy.

Is Scoot out for the rest of the game? Would be a shame if so as he was having quite the game. It just seemed like he got knocked in the face on that play but would be ok to return.

At this point I think probably. He took off his glasses immediately. So I think beyond the worries about potential concussion or broken nose, might be an orbital issue as a possibility too.

Oh gosh, I hope he's ok and isn't out for long.

Nasal contusion for Scoot -- hopefully nothing too bad and he can come back soon.

Moving Grant to the SF and starting Walker at the PF has so worked out well. I've always said that Grant is more of SF than PF in his playstyle.

I wonder if there are scouts from other teams looking over Portland, with the trade deadline approaching

This is a move I've been pushing for for a few months now. Walker brings a lot to the table with his knack for rebounding and being in the right place at the right time. Plus he just seems to actually care. Not every starter has to be a superstar in the making--you need some players who can start and be effective without the ball in their hands, and be lunchpail guys, and Jabari is just that. IMHO, he should be the starting PF the rest of the season.

Sucks about Scoot. He's showing a tendency to pick up little injuries, which I don't like.

In the positive, if by some miracle there still was a team wondering about the effectiveness of Brogdon and Grant for potential trade, hopefully they watched this one. I know that everyone is saying Brogdon has 2 playoff series left in him, but he looks to me like he has the type of game that will age well. As long as he stays healthy, I don't see why he can't be a solid backup for a very long time.

When the Blazers were rumored to possibly getting Pascal Siakam (back before Dame asked to be traded), I thought that would be a good move because it could move Grant to the SF which is more his position. Jabari Walker maybe the next Taj Gibson.
