Let's see Wizenheimer try to spin this off as pornography.

But, quality loss. Denver didn't seem to care for most of it. But the Blazers hung pretty well when they turned it on late. Scoot played well. I hate that we rely so heavily on Reath. Rupert is enticing, but should be g-league. I legitimately didn't know who Ashton Hagans was before this game. And if he doesn't play in the next one, I will legitimately not remember who Ashton Hagans is. Typical tank job game.

Just play the guys who are just happy to be playing in the league and want to play.

Zero evidence of any of this, but I suspect that Brogdon was shut down as opposed to being injured. Timelord was playing for his next contract, but he has Brandon Roy knees - so, I doubt he was faking. Ayton, Grant, and Simons are probably free to play when they want to. The team knows what they have with them, and other than teams like the Wizards, Pistons, Spurs, and - oddly enough - Grizzlies, none of those three are winning us games. Sharpe and Scoot are probably being pushed by not Chauncey management to play, so I suspect when they miss games, they are either legitimately injured or it's internal disciplinary.

But again, pure speculation on my part.

Brogdon isn't going to agree to being shutdown in early February when he's got a history of injury concerns as that'll hurt his next contract. That's a legitimate injury.

Nobody knows what the vulcans are doing. Windhorst speculated that due to injuries, we're intentionally tanking this year. And that means playing Brogdon and Grant less. But Brogdon and Grant are both under contract next season and weren't traded because he believes that management thinks if the roster is healthy and the Blazers add a few pieces via the draft, the Blazers can compete - not contend - next season. Every relevant player this season has at least a team option. And that seems to be what management cares about. Get the team back to .500 level. Collect attendance and media checks.
