Fans of the teams below... Answer the following for the teams already eliminated...

Nets
Hornets
Pistons
Rockets
Grizzlies
Trail Blazers
Spurs
Raptors
Jazz
Wizards

1. The following players will 100% be back with the team next year...
2. The following players will 100% be gone next year...
3. The 3 things my team must accomplish this off-season are... (Note: this could be cap wise, on the court needs wise, coaching change, free agency/draft needs/targets, etc.)

1. Nobody
2. Nobody
3. Replace current players with better ones, replace current coach with better one, replace current general manager with better one (bonus: replace current owner with better one)

I think Billups deserves one more year, I dont want any free agents until after the draft, and based on what we get via the draft then we can fill in positions of need.

Bingo. Not a single player, coach, or person in management has done well enough this season to deserve to have a guaranteed role with the Blazers next year. But I don’t have confidence that there will be many meaningful changes.

1. Scoot, Sharpe, Ayton, Camara, Rupert, Murray, Reath, Walker
2. Thybulle, Ant [ought to be traded by February: Grant, Brogdon]
3. Win. The. Draft. 2 lottery picks. Big Brass Ones in making trades.

Warriors
1. Stephen Curry
2. Klay, Green CP3,Wiggins Saric, Moses Moody, Kevon Looney, GP2, Podziemski, Trayce Jackson-Davis, JK
3. Get Steph Curry some HELP. Personally for me everyone is on the table except Steph. Team USA is coached by Kerr and Steph is on it - go get an old man Avengers and get LBJ to come over and we draft Bronny, then trade for KD. Warriors owner does not (and nobody would) want to spend millions of dollars to not be a contender. Warriors need to make an all in push. Need to get more athletic, longer, and younger.

I think what will actually happen is Warriors let CP3 walk to get out of that contract and 50/50 on letting Klay walk. Trade Kuminga/Wiggins and whatever it takes to get another 'star'.

Now that the Suns have joined the ranks of the eliminated, it'll be interesting to see what they
will do with that roster.

About the only certainty on that roster is that Bradley Beal has a no trade clause in his contract
and they will be stuck paying him for the next 3 seasons for roughly $160 Million.

I don't think that they have any choice other than to run it back one more season. They can't get back in trade what they gave up for KD and Beal. And lesser pieces like Nurkic don't have significant value around the league. Draft the BPA at #22. Try to sign some cheap veterans. And hope that everyone stays healthy and builds cohesion.

I definatley can see a Beal to LAL deal as LeGM pushes for a 3rd star.

If the LAL FO isnt willing to take on a big deal like Beal, I could see LBJ move on honestly. He will push them to make a splash (Even if IMO Beal doesnt move the needle much). And Beal for sure would waive his NTC to go to LAL.

I can see Rui + Gabe + Vandy for Beal

One supposes there is hope Portland could dump Grant to a contender if a guy like Beal can be
moved.

Grant can be moved easily enough. He's just not going to return any real value. Maybe a protected 1st with a bad contract. There's a reason why he was obtained for a protected 2025 MIL 1st and draft rights to Gabriele Procida.

Moving on from Billups sooner than later is a good idea, but I agree - 1 more year won’t hurt  Billups is essentially just a sitting duck: the placeholder before the Blazers need to find the coach they want to develop the young guys and take a leap forward. Similar to the Rockets HC a few seasons ago.

Warriors would love to get Grant for Wiggins.

Why would Portland ever do that? Wiggins is easily one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Grant would return better value than that.

Never said Portland would love it

As a Warrior fan I got tired of hearing from outside media that Andrew Wiggins is one of the worst contracts in the NBA to describe him. He played his ass off for the Warriors and was a big part of the '22 Championship team. Solid 2way player that can do a little bit of everything. This year was an awful year for him due to some off the court family issues apparently. Always been a good professional for the team.

Cool. It's 2024. The year following that 22 chip, he played 37 games and in this just concluded season he played in 59 games and barely cracked 13ppg.

The narrative is on point for him. He's one of the worst contracts in the league and it's not even particularly close. If you take your Warriors tinted glasses off, it's not hard to see. Doesn't mean he's a bad dude or there aren't reasons for why he is what he is now, but he is what he is now.
