That poor official. I hope he's ok after being hit by that HEADBAND!!! Way to go to bat for your guys Stu Jackson.

To be fair to Zach, that suspension is pretty weak. He shouldn't be throwing his headband around when he gets angry, but the headband "hit" the refs foot. It's not exactly like he was specifically throwing the headband at the ref.
Zach was/is far from a perfect player, but I really feel bad for the guy. I wouldn't wish that NY situation on anyone. There were a couple interesting quotes from Zach via a article in the NY Times...

Randolph has struggled to mesh with center Eddy Curry in the frontcourt. He has been benched for long stretches when the Knicks have fallen behind. He was recently pulled from the lineup for a game. And he has been left positively dizzy by an endless string of defeats.
This was hardly what Randolph expected when the Knicks acquired him from the Portland Trail Blazers in June, handing him a fresh start and the promise of better days. Hours before the N.B.A. announced his suspension Friday, Randolph acknowledged he occasionally wondered why the Knicks brought him to New York.

Always will support former blazers sheed/z-bo and that article is quite interesting, thanks spykes. Z-bo may be a ball hog but at the end of they day you know he is a competitor even if he does hurt his team.

It must be incredibly frustrating for Zach after spending a couple years here in Portland in a similar hopeless situation only to find himself now in New York starting all over with another bad team while his old Blazers teammates are experiencing success. It's good he is trying to stay positive and is working towards being part of the solution there. I'm also impressed that when he talks about the Blazers he does so in positive terms.

Zach might actually possess the Marbury effect, leave one team and make the other one better. It won't be the last team he's traded to either.
