More props from the TNT family!!

Post#1 » by Mr Odd » Fri Jan 11, 2008 4:59 am

R. Miller, after listing a bunch of guards that
will or could be named to the West All-Stars
said, "Brandon Roy should be an All-Star."

I know thats just an opinion.. .but every little
bit of good national hype for the Blazers feels
extra special because we've been starving for
it for many, many, many, many, many years!!

Yes, Roy should be an All-Star!

I've voted 3 times already! (You can vote once per day).

Hopefully the coaches will see the light.

during the suns game they were talking about the suns record vs the best in the west and they had a note at the bottom saying they hadn't played the blazers yet :)

its nice to be included in that list

Roy has earned an all-star spot but it's up to the coaches to give him that spot as the fans obvously aren't going to vote him in. Roy 4 the ASG!

How come fans wouldn't vote Roy in anyway?

Sound, fundamental play from a sophomore guard out west doesn't tickle the ears of voters east of mountain time :D

edit: VVVV that too

I disagree. It's because the fans for the most part vote for players on their favorite teams, including Blazer fans.

Want proof? Okur has more votes than LMA.

Fans only vote for the starters so that means 2 starting guards.
If Roy made it he would have to get more votes than Kobe, T-mac, Nash, Paul and so on, and thats just not going to happen
Do it Mitch! Trade Kwame for SOMEONE GOOD!

like jason quick said, the coaches always rave about roy before and after games, so he wouldn't be surprised if he gets voted in by them

well, the ASG is more of popularity rather than how good you are performing.

Fans as a whole vote for who they see on TV.
Players that are hyped a lot get the vote. Also
like others have stated, fans vote for players
that are on their fav team. Its about popularity.

Its good that the coaches vote the bench on and
I know many coaches have said good things when
it comes to Roy, but you have to think half of those
coaches are just saying that when asked by media
from Portland while that coach is in Portland, its sad
to say but even tho many coaches have said Roy is
great most of them say that to be pc. Most coaches
will probably vote for a player they coach.. .But you
never know, maybe Roy will be lucky & squeek on.. .

It would help if he put up big stats, which he doesnt.
Roy puts up numbers that are like his game. Hes not
great at one or two things, hes good at many lil things.
The little things add up & win games but dont shot in stats.
