Channing Frye out 3-6 Weeks

95.5 The Game just reported that Frye underwent surgery for bone spurs in his foot and will be out 3-6 weeks. Nothing too serious, but this trend needs to stop

I don't worry about minor surgery trend, it's part of the off-season game for those who already have guaranteed contracts. Hopefully Frye can get some pre-season work though. Without Frye and Roy there will be plenty of time for some of the other guys.

While I'm glad it's relatively minor, I do have to say that the trend is a bit disturbing. This will give yet another Blazer (Diogu) a chance to shine early, but I'd much prefer Channing be getting the reps against Oden, Aldridge et al.

Well it's a small injury, hope he won't be out of rhythm when returning though. Lot's of minor injuries/rehabs/crap over just this offseason

Roy - knee surgery
Ike - tweaked knee, skips SL
bayless - Hand
Oden - rehab
frye - foot surgery
przy - hand/finger (early in offseason)
martell - heart (early in offseason)

That's a shame for Frye because from all reports he was coming into camp in the best shape of his career...now that's all wiped out.

Not a big deal, unfortunate, but not a big deal. It's better that he gets the surgery done now then later. This will give an opportunity to Outlaw and Ike to grab minutes behind LaMarcus. Get well soon Frye we need ya man!!
