I think there are a few of us that suffer from this condition. You see RJ traded and even though you are aware of his shortcomings all you can see is how much he could have help the Blazers. Randy Foye is more of a SG, but what could he have done as Roy's running mate? And just think of all the amazing players we could have got with the #5 pick. Now we may have to watch as Conley and Rondo change hands. All the while the Blazers remain silent.

IBS symptoms (partial list):
Shaky hands
Cold sweats
Absolute certainty that the Blazers will NEVER EVER make a move
Nausea
Diarrhea
Absolute certainty that some other deal could have helped the Blazers
Insomnia
Dry mouth
Visions of the four horsemen of the apocolypse

There will be many moves over the coming days and the Blazers may not be among them, I thought we needed a place for us IBS sufferers to commiserate.

I am not worried (yet) and i think most fans will not get too worried til about 3 weeks into July. Then if KP has not really done anything then i think fans will have every right to question him. I do wonder what's out there when a couple possible trade partners have either done something or rumored to be about to maybe do something. i am talking Washington for one there was talk maybe Portland wanted to get that pick. Now there is talk of Memphis MIGHT be trading Conley and Gay even though i am doubting that deal but still.

I still believe in KP but it would be nice to hear some more legit sounding rumors or better yet .. A TRADE involving the Blazers.

So true. I actually was going to post something similar, more of a whine than this witty thread you started, about how emotionally but illogically I keep feeling like we could miss the boat.

So here is my illogical and emotional rant. What if waiting on Free Agency backfires because we are unable to actually lure one of the top flight free agents to Portland? You know, maybe Portland desires to obtain assets via free agency so that they do not have to part with any of their "Precious "( read young and cheap talent here). Meanwhile, all of the financially strapped organizations make their lopsided trades, that still require assets, before Portland makes a move.

Okay, even writing that I know its illogical. I guess what I fear is that we stand pat because of the fear of breaking up the chemistry and cheap youth that Portland currently enjoys. I mean they did overachieve and win 54 games last year - maybe experiece and a few veterans (non-top flight / starters) is all they need? (That is me being devils advocate as I believe there is a clear need for a talent upgrade in the form of a player who can either better facilitate the offense and or get their own shot and points).

Ha. It is not even the draft yet and I am standing on bridg edge.

It still counts as IBS, though. I'm pretty sure of it. I feel like in any case we at least need to move outlaw so that there's no log jam next year. trade him and our pick to move higher in the draft and pick a back up PF. After that we should sign a PG FA like Andre to the team. This would at least cure my IBS for the moment.

My only fear with adding Ha is that he would hinder Oden's development by taking all of his minutes. I think Ha has PG potential so we could try that venue..
