As much as I want to catch this game, I'm going to be dedicating tomorrow night to the USC ORE game. Hopefully the Blazers can pull one off, but I must admit, my mind isn't on Basktball right now.

I am with you all the way. Of course my great fear is USC tears up Oregon tomorrow and my hopes for one of my Oregon based teams success is dashed apart yet again. By another LA based team! I have expect to hear chants of Beat LA at the game tomorrow.

Hasn't been easy being a Blazer fan and Duck fan the last 15 years. Neither team can quite get over the hump. Graduated as a Duck. Actually been a Blazer fan since 77. I watched the championship but was too young to really appreciate it. Although, I remember it vividly.

Oregon is going to get Pounded. Of course, being a Beaver, I might be a little biased.

WTF! There are plenty of football threads! And if you wanted to use Portland's Real GM to talk football, at least use the Anything Goes thread!

This is annoying, because I am always the only person at the bar who's asking to turn on the Blazer game, and people say "NO, COLLEGE FOOTBALL," so I have to go to the back room, where there will inevitably be a gaggle of douchebags playing darts and be using 10 seats for four people because they are spreading their douchebaggery all around.

I would rather watch a regular season Blazer game than the **** Rose Bowl. UNLESS... The Beavers were in it. But come on!

A regular season college football game < BLAZERS GAME.

GET YOUR HEADS STRAIGHT!!! THIS IS A BLAZERS BOARD! GRURURURURRUURRURU!!!!

haha benefit. yeah college football is overrated. BCS is a joke, having a month off before the title game is a joke, the schedules of most teams are a joke, I could go on for days on things that suck about college football.

looking forward to the Blazers tonight.. expecting a much better performance than the first 2 games. that shouldn't be asking much.

But we're 1-1 after two games. This is clearly a lost season. Time to fire Nate, tank, and say hello to John Wall.

Awesome thread btw, Dakotah.

College football is the most perfect sport in the universe, except for the not having a playoff.

Not to further derail this thread, but in response I am indeed an NBA fan first and college football second. With that said, 1 of 82 regular season games pales in comparison to th Duck game today.

I of course am recording the Blazer game and will watch it too.

Lastly, as many negatives you can come up with regarding CFB as many can be said about the NBA. Like fixed refs? Lack of heart due to being over paid. A lack of passion for the same reasons. CFB is about young kids putting it all on the line without bing paid.

Go Blazers!
Go Ducks!
Go Beavers!

Duck alumn but have always cheered on thr Beavers whenever their success does not interfere with Oregon's.

I was once that naive. Just for fun, check out the rides of the football team and ask where did they get the money since as scholarship athletes they can't work, and most come from low-income families.

You must not have seen how suspect the officiating has become in the SEC to where their Commish is threatening to suspend coaches who complain about how jobbed they were by the refs. It's amazing how often the highly ranked schools-no matter the Conf-always seem to benefit from extremely dubious calls,or how often no-calls favor them.

NCAA Athletics is a shamockery designed solely to pour money down the insatiable maw of colleges.

It looks like "Zombieland" was an apt description for our effort so far.

Mike Rice is showing up in true mid-season form of being totally insane and misinformed.

If that "block" Houston had on Przybilla is not a foul, then Greg Oden should have about half the career fouls he actually has. Not that I'm blaming the refs or anything--we're playing terrible defense and we look pretty out of sync on offense too. Just sayin'...
