Game 64 Thread - Kings (37-26) vs Pelicans (31-33)

No Fox who is out with a sore hamstring. Pelicans are a tough matchup with lots of length on the wing, need to find a way to get a win tonight.

So nice to see huerter break out of the funk! He was so crucial to our success earlier in the season.

I know people want Sasha, but if it means letting Lyles walk, I'd prefer to just keep lyles. Guy is perfect for this team

Also I’m not trying to single out a player on purpose but what’s the deal with Delly? He looks cooked out there. Why is he getting minutes?

This is a valid question. One of Browns only flaws on the season. No reason for Monk and Davis to combine for 20minutes and Delly to play 16. Rather give those 2 more minutes and run the offense through Sabonis when Mitchell sits.

Thankfully we don't have to deal with that when Fox comes back. But I'm sure there are G-Leaguers who could provide more on court than Delly at this stage of his career.

Big win without Fox. Huerter with the awesome performance doing a bit of everything. Wish Davion played with more confidence offensively coming off the bench, if he did I'm sure coach would carve out more minutes for him. Metu/Lyles were both great. The bench has been stepping up big time, eating crow questioning Monte not upgrading the bench during the deadline.

Yeah, Delly doesn’t even look like a NBA player at this point. I just hope it doesn’t bite the Kings in their butt if they are forced to play Delly again whenever Fox misses games in the future. I hate the idea playing Delly important minutes (i.e playoff minutes). Hopefully Monte fixes this

Davion looked good. He showed flashes of this late last season.

Ya it's going to be interesting to see how Brown manages rotations in the playoffs. Most teams go down to what seem like 7-8 man rotations. I imagine Mike sticks with at least 9 and plays Davion, Monk, Lyles, Metu off the bench.

If Fox happens to miss time during the playoffs, i'd hope he cuts down to 8 man rotation with Monk, Lyles playing majority off the bench. Our core is young, they can play high 30s for 2 weeks.

Absolutely. He's been settling for 3's too much this season. I know our offense has changed, but there is still room for him to dribble drive when he is in the game. Especially the games where Monk is off.
