In theory it sounds great, but John believe or not, for a ball stopper does really play within the flow of the offense. He won't come in and put up 15 shots in 20 minutes because he usually takes his shots later in the clock, waiting for a hole to open up in the defense. He doesn't just aimlessly run to the rim.
Plus Theus doesn't, nor do most coaches, platoon a bench in at any point during the game. He'll usually sub in John with Ron and Mike. Or Ron and Kevin. Or all three.
