Personally I'd be pretty shocked if we don't make at least 1 move to improve the bench.

Monte's first deadline he tinkered.

He traded Cojo for Delon (I wish we never got rid of Delon, hated that trade for Tristan)
He traded Bjelly for Harkless
A 2nd for Davis
And then signed Damian Jones

Last year beyond the major Sabonis trade, he also went out and traded for Lyles/DDV.

I expect small bench moves
I would be mildly surprised if we made a big move (Siakam, OG)
But I would be absolutely shocked if we stand pat

Davion doesn't fit the team at all. Holmes needs to go, Barnes is expiring. They've been rumored for a backup center since basically the 2nd month of the season. And we have a bunch of future 2nds owed to us. We never use them. Monte is the king of buying guys cheap!

Kyrie to Dal
Russell, Beasley, Vanderbilt to LAL

Monte needs to make a move.

The West got more competitive overnight.

I’m curious what the Kings will do in response.

I dislike the kyrie to Dallas one the most.

kd is old, that can go either way. LEBRON is old too, and not so much a fan of those players.

luka just needed a bit of help. kyrie still only 30.... hes better than Brunson, and with him they went to the conference finals

Durant is old but he is still putting up insane numbers and impact still. I expect the Suns to leap frog in the standings.

Luka and Kyrie fit is weird but if they manage to work it out, man!

The Mavs and Suns are directly behind the Kings in the standings, there is a good chance they will move ahead if the Kings remain pat imo.

Damnit. Damnit. I'm sick.

Kings are finally good and this week just punches us in the gut.

Suns are legit title favorites.
Kyrie and Luka is going to be scary
Lakers just cleared out a cancer and added 4 guys who fit the roster really well.

We can pretend this wasn't a huge blow, but the kings could be looking at a play-in spot if we don't do something.

Nets might flip Bridges for more picks. Memphis is said to be pushing hard for Bridges or OG. Come on Monte, Bridges would be a dream come true

Agreed the Tristan move was horrible.

I'm still annoyed we didn't move Bjelica on draft night. Thought we could of did some possible second combo or take bad salary back and drafted McDaniels.

In all seriousness, I'm okay if the Kings stand pat.

So am I.

Making a knee jerk reaction to all this is foolish. We aren’t there yet. These are mostly OLD or rapidly aging out teams that are making desperate moves for right now.

We have a decade or more of being in contention ahead of us with smart moves and patient building.

The Bridges trade or a similar one for Siakam would be no brainers because the timeline works. A small move for a solid fill in guy to get a nice two round run this year and them free cap up would be fine.

But otherwise just sit tight and develop.

Disagree. Good players are being had for 2nd round picks.

We don't develop 2nds. Hell we usually sell them so vivek can line his pockets. Golden one is selling out on the regular, fans are buying merchandise again. Put some of those 2nds to use at minimum to upgrade the damn team

Thomas bryant for 3 2nds? Our 2nds are worth more than nuggets 2nds. 25 year old who can stretch the floor and rebound. That shoulda been a no brainer deal for sac. I'll wait for now, let's see what we do.

If it were a bigger trade you could interest me.

Kings out: Barnes, 2 1sts
Kings in: Bridges

Nets out: Bridges
Nets in: Collins, 2024, 2026, 2028 Kings 1st

Atlanta out: Collins, 2024 Kings lotto protected 1st
Atlanta in: Barnes

Kings turn 2 more 1sts + Barnes into Bridges

Nets turn Bridges into Collins + 3 Kings 1st round picks

Atlanta finally sheds Collins and gets Barnes.

Two picks for abridges with the protections staying in place is ok.

Three is too much. He doesn’t have that value at this point.

Keep in mind also that there will be a fair number of these guys available after they hit the waiver wire.

A lot of this is just moving off money for teams and some of the guys are questionable at best.

As far as a guy like Bryant goes - they moved him for a good reason. I don’t feel that he would fit here and defensively he isn’t worth it. I’m really glad they didn’t touch Plumlee. I don’t want him around.

Also realize there were a lot of guys moved who were absolutely attitude problems where they were at and in the past. We don’t want that here. We have a good thing going with angood group that has talent.

Many times the deal you don’t make is better than a reach.

Also things will be vastly different in the summer.

Return to Sacramento Kings
