Let's get another pick early in the 2nd Monte. Going to be a lot of guys with potential there. This is where the Kings can go from not much young talent (22 and under) to having plenty of talent for trades/upgrades/diamonds in the rough.

I know most Kings fans probably upset we didn't get a shiny new rookie with a 20% chance of Even becoming a role player.. but I think this makes sense.

They could now resign Barnes for lesser salary and then still have money to bring in another free agent. Or just let Barnes walk and chase two of the often mentioned guys.

Monte has his eyes on now. I'm thinking once Kris was off the board this became an easy choice for him.

Honestly, I wouldn't be super mad at it. He would be another guy that can get a bucket for us. I'm curious if we try and make one big splash signing like that or go after two high level guys like a Naz Reid and Bruce Brown.
