This is pretty much what I feel as well.

It would have to be an absolutely stupid overpay - like $25 million/year+ - for o entice him away from his best situation so far in his career.

I'd hate to see him go, but... if he gets that big of a bag tossed at him, guy deserves to cash out.

Last nights game is proof to me that Mike Brown will never ultimately win his own championship.

He will be like Mark Jackson and Doug Collin’s were to Steve Kerr and Phil Jackson - the set up guy.

How do you play the second night of a back to back against a team playing only seven guys and not go 10-12 deep into your bench for the first three quarters to save the legs of your top guys?

Horrid coaching.

Yeah I agree.

He doubled down on the small lineup (3 guard formation) against Bam and Love.

This was the dagger.

I'm trying not to despair too hard, but at the same time, this feels like a night to start trying to find upside in a late 2024 lottery pick.

Someday, in a few years, we're going to look back at this season and wonder how we wasted Domas having a hall-of-fame year.

I wouldn't go that far. We're only half a game out of avoiding the play-in tournament still and we're performing about as expected with this roster. The West is ridiculously stacked and we're on pace for about 47 wins right now, maybe you can argue we should be a 50 win team but with how tough the conference is and us still being in the early stages of building a competitive team we're doing pretty well all things considered.

Some bad losses for sure this year, no excusing the effort on some nights but we'll be fine.

My worry is that we're not going to get a better chance before he either ends up leaving the team or aging out of being able to play anything like this.

Phoenix lost at home to the Rockets, which brings the sixth seed very close. Denver toyed with the Lakers and then pulled away.

It's going to be extremely close.
From here on in only Denver, Memphis, Dallas, Golden State, Houston has "easier" schedules than the Kings.
Season H2H is definitely going to come into play so the Kings need to currently get clear of NOP for a 5-6 spot and it will come down to the 5th game against Suns in that match up. Kings needs to win 1/2 in the double header late in March with Dallas to win the season series. The Kings should keep the tie breaker with the Warriors (better division record) and the Lakers series is at 2-0 Kings' favor and that will be decided in the coming weeks (both teams are 7-6 in the division).

12/22 games left for the Suns are against Bos/OKC/Den/Minn/Cle/LAC. It's going to be extremely tough for them if Booker misses time. With that said, it will be interesting to see who plays the seeding game later in the season with the Suns because they could be a touch match up in the first round. Like Den/LAC/OKC/Minn could all be playing for a spot to face the Suns in the opening round.

I mentioned it at the time regarding the IST. The Kings were penalised for winning in the IST by playing the Suns & NOP 5 times and the Spurs & Jazz 3 times. This is going to be a talking point at the end of the season in house for NBA teams and how best to approach it. It could be a HUGE difference at the end of the season.

Dallas lost again today, as did the Warriors, if the Thunder beat the Suns it will have been a very good day!

We're back to the sixth seed ahead of a very easy streak of four games.

I’m not too concerned about the playoffs vrs who we will be matched up against.

If the Wolves and Thunder remain 1 and 2 I would prefer a play in game at home and playing them than the current 3/4 Nuggets/Clippers

But the standings could change

Booker likely to miss 5 games for Phoenix, in a very tough part of their schedule. We need to take care of our own business, starting tonight.

"Very tough" is underselling the rest of their season. Twelve of the Suns' last twenty-two games are against the Celtics, Bucks, Thunder, Nuggets, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, or Clippers.
