Last game of the regular season in what has been a roller coaster of a year and one that I would like to get off of. We need a win today in order to have a shot at the 8 seed but our destiny is also somewhat out of our hands since it would require New Orleans to beat the Lakers as well. All of the bad losses over the course of the season have reared their ugly heads back at us to position us looking at a possible 9/10 seeding and needing to win 2 straight play in games to make the playoffs.

We played some excellent basketball earlier in the year. However, as we got nearer the playoffs, the issues with the team were apparent. The decision to resign Barnes and extend Sabonis has not played out well, and we are not any better than our current position as a play in team. Most of the worst losses to weak teams came before Monk was injured. I expect the Warriors who had the sense to rest their key players to beat us either at home or in Sacramento.

Monte earned the right to find out what he had and that question was answered. We must make upgrades while the better players are still young.

This is so much better than the under 30 win seasons we had for a while, and at least Vlade isn't here...

why would extending Sabonis not be good?

Would anyone entertain Orlando being able to offer him a max?
