31% (all his 3pt data I could find Angt, U18, KLS, ABA, Euroleague) 61/192

Scoot 3.4 3pt per 36
32% from deep
75% FT

Castle 2.9 3pt attempts 36
27% from deep
75.5%

There are levels to being a good and bad shooter. I promise trying to judge a player on only 3pt% is a really flawed process.

What's your point?

None of those guys have proven to be a good NBA shooter yet.

My point is you just want to judge a guy based on his 3pt % and ignore other telling statistics. I will be sure to tag you after his rookie year when he is a better shooter than both of these guys.

And what if they're all shooting poorly? None of them are good shooting prospects.

At least Scoot had 2 years under his belt shooting from the NBA 3 pt line (deeper than international line or college line) and at least Castle has more size and far better defense than the others..

And who cares how they play as rookies? You gotta give these guys at least 3 (if not more) years in the league before drawing any meaningful conclusions about how they've turned out. Plus, there's so many external factors that could impact things, beyond their control. Like maybe 1 of them gets injured and that slows their shooting development. Or maybe one of them goes to a team that has a really good shooting coach but the others do not..

It's also flawed to only consider 3pt shooting as part of shooting ability and projection. For Scoot, the theory was/is that he is a good and willing midrange shooter who can either extend his shooting to the 3pt line or become so adept at the midrange shot that it is still an efficient counter to crowded paints and keeps defenses honest away from the rim. The concern about Topic is that he not only struggles as a 3pt shooter but also has serious limitations in his midrange game. Whether his great FT% indeed bodes well for the future remains very much a question. It's a positive sign fore sure but it frankly is also the only positive sign when it comes to his shooting ability and projection.

Djursic should be the first round pick. I don't see many SG or SF better than him in this year NBA Draft. Who ever picks him will not regret.

Yea Djurisic looks legit. Those playmaking skills and craftiness are starting to show now.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

3 questions for people low on Topic:

Do you think his his feel for the game is outlier?
Do you think he can he blow by NBA defenders?
Do you think he'll be a good jump shooter long term?

A). Not outlier, but definitely way above average.
B). No. I think he'll be able to get to the rim occasionally with skill, but not 'blow by' anyone.
C) Debatable. I think he can become 'average' but doubtful he'll become 'good'

I can see him being a below average starting PG or an excellent backup PG. Any pick in the 8-15 range is appropriate

It would be really nice if Topic had any move other than "dribble in a straight line past his defender and finish with a layup"

I guess the hope is he'll develop moves as his handle is fine but idk.

It's just one game. And Mega didn't have their starting center. So they had to start an 18 yr old kid who has barely played all season instead.

Before this, Mega had won like 9 games in a row - without Topic. 1 of those wins was a double digit win over Red Star.

Ok?

Average age of Mega's players is like 20. Average age of Red Star's players is like 30..Red Star has dudes who have played in the NBA. They should win by 30..
