I kind of like this kid, I wonder if you hold that energy throughout the entire ncaa season.

Did you bother to notice when I made that comment? I haven't watched him *this* season. Maybe he's better? Just a thought.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

He’s showing signs of a much improved shot this season. His FT% has jumped up by 20% and he’s taking more than twice as many FTs per game than last season

I’ve also heard he’s improved a lot on his midrange jumper (which he flashed a bit so far this season), suggesting he could eventually be utilized in a pick and pop setting. Much like Ibaka

If he continues to show an improved shot, paired with his insane athletic and physical gifts, he’s a guaranteed 1st rounder

Excited for UCLA - Marquette.

Does UCLA have crap perimeter talent this year? Bona/Mara seems like good talent up front yet they are unranked.

Ucla has 7 freshmen this year which is a big reason why they’re unranked. Aside from that, their two key experienced players are sophomores. They lost a lot of upperclassmen. Their most experienced guys are Nwuba (who’s been an end of bench/rotation guy most of his career) and transfer Lazar Stefanovic

But to answer your question, UCLA doesn’t necessarily have crap perimeter talent but they’re currently very unknown. Their likely best perimeter guy is more of a 3/4 in Berke Buyuktuncel who will be making his debut tonight since he finally just got cleared by NCAA on Thursday.

Apart from Berke, I like Ilane Fibleuil a lot but he’s still a bit of a project (another freshman). He’s very athletic and has great defensive potential and as a slasher offensively

Another pair of freshman (Sebastian Mack and Jan Vide) are also quite intriguing but Mack plays very out of control right now and Vide needs to work on his jumper (he has a sweet float game though)

I expect ucla to lose tonight but by March they’ll be a very different team. There’s still a lot to be sorted out and with so many freshman (4 being international guys), it’ll take some time for them to get acclimated to college basketball.

Next one. I wanna see him on the Thunder next to Chet

UCLA Guards are really bad. Not sure why Vide is not playing. Also not sure, why Mara is not even getting the Non-Bona Center minutes. One thing I'll never understand are College coaches and their rotations

This Bona was who we thought we were getting last season.

Well, some guys just need a second year. Think he had a bit of a learning curve, adjustment period to egt used to the college game, get used to his teammates last season, then once he his his stride he got injured.

He'll go higher in a weaker draft class this year, though.

Looking like a lottery pick.

And his rebound % this season 16.7% which is very good.

He's listed at 6'10'' at BBallRef, but looks a couple of inches shorter.

Why do we continue to do this every year. You can literally google his measurements since he was at the NBA combine in 2023.

Ok. But the official measurements used by the NBA are in-shoes. Shoes add 1-2 inches so in shoes he's 6'9" or 6'10"

I mean, it's just my opinion, it's what my eyes are telling me. I know there are measurements online, I actually went to the site above and typed his name to check.

However, I don't agree with it. He seems smaller to me, compared to other players' heights and the court proportions.

I'm sorry if you (or anyone else) has a problem with that. It's still my opinion. If I'm eventually wrong I'll come here and say it too.

How would you ever admit to being wrong when you cannot even accept the official measurements as valid?

Am I allowed to disagree on an official measurement?

Have they been reliable 100% of the time in the past?

Am I allowed to change my opinion whenever I want?

Do I have to ask for your permission whenever I want to post?
