Sekou was a wiff for me, but largely high risk high ceiling play

Wild that you are saying a rookie who is 4 years younger than Goga is too early to tell and you want to ignore production. But when 3rd string center has 4 good games in year 5 you are saying "This is why we wait".

And yes, once Carter is back Goga will be back to the bench as 3rd string behind him and Wagner.

It's been 5 years. And I said "maybe". But you're 100% correct. I should wait longer. Now you seem to be getting it! Glad to see you've come around.

WCJ is back and Goga is still starting. Looks like JMAC once again got it wrong.

So, what happened is WCJ returned, the Magic essentially benched Goga, WCJ was trash, and the team, for the past 3 games, went back to Goga.

WCJ has been back for 8 games and started 5... While Goga had a DNP and 4 other games with 12 mpg or less.

But I guess these last 3 games are what the real truth is and you should dare I say it "Victory Lap" lol. Seems like plenty of sample size or maybe you should get a bunch of posts in while you can and celebrate this win before it ages badly.

Goga is back starting and IMO it will stay that way. He is a far better fit in ORL than WCJ.

I think they should move WCJ and pay Goga this offseason personally. Guy is still young.

Goga was clearly the better prospect. Had him 8 on my board that year and not even sure if I had Sekou ranked.

Yeah, hard to teach stupid.

WCJ claimed his spot back when he first came back but at this point Goga is simply a better player.

WCJ has always been this mystical player where the theory of him outweighs his actual ability.

Goga saga continues, playing as the 3rd center again for last 4 games. Including 2 dnps.

It really just comes down to money here. Wendell Carter was a huge investment and the second unit plays well with Mo Wagner. If Wendell is traded, Goga will be starting once more.

Last 29 magic games.
Goga 1 start
11 DNP
18games he has played, he has played more than 10 mins 3 times.

Yeah, JMAC what an idiot lol

I will say, during my research on Topic and international prospects I am pretty surprised Goga has been such a bust. He was incredibly productive at such an early age. Winning the ABA MVP at just 19 is pretty impressive.

The big thing with Goga and the Magic is that the Magic are so bad offensively that they need any spacing they can get and WCJ can kind of shoot a little.

I strongly am team Goga still. No reason he cant be a Zubac, Hartenstein, Poeltl level starter.

Think he books it out of ORL this summer and shows he is a 24mpg big next season.

Tbh nobody predicted Sekou lack of maturity and work ethic because as far as talent goes... after not playing for more than 1 year he's dominating the french league..
