Bouknight projects to be a way better pro than collegiate with the increased spacing in the NBA and his great ISO skills and handle. Barnes is fooling everyone. He's Aaron Gordon 2.0. Lacks fluidity to play SF and his low FT% does not inspire hope that he will become a shooter. I like who Kuminga who can be in 5 years, but Bouknight will be outproducing him in the meantime.

Bouknight has atrocious court vision. Frequently misses open teammates. Definition of a chucker but his style is aesthetically pleasing.

Just to pump the breaks on Bouknight before I get caught up in the hype too much (OKC rumored interested in him at 6 if Barnes is gone), who is a good worst case comp for him. By which I mean, who is another guy who looked like an electric scorer, shot up draft boards based on that premise alone, and then stunk after being in selected in the lottery? Dion Waiters?

Odds on James going 5th went from +4500 to +750 over night. Someone knows something. I think we’re looking at multiple GMs completely sold Orlando, Golden State, and OKC all sold. Could be looking at someone moving up. As I’ve stated in the past no one in this draft has an offensive game better suited for the league. With space his offensive upside is incredible.

most overrated player in the draft by far at this point, not even close and that speaks volumes considering how high Mitchell is rated

I am not ready to go that far. I think Lamb is closer. He does have good body control when attacking, somewhat similar to Lamb. But attacking is about all he can do.

I am with clyde on he and Mitchell being the most overrated, but I can see Mitchell carving out a niche as a role playing try-hard. If Bouknight doesnt become an excellent, efficient scorer he isnt going to have a role in this league on a good team.

I wouldnt bet on him.

You’re so wrong. He’ll be the best offensive weapon in the draft. He had no space in college, he was doubled every touch highest double rate in the big East, was injured(off elbow) all year. No one on the team shot over like 35% from deep. Shooting was his primary strength out of hs. He finished 66% at the rim! Jumped a 64 inch box and made 20 straight corner 3s at his pro day. Unheard of stuff. The craziest part is that he’s only been playing organized basketball for 5 years. All street ball before that so he’s self taught. That’s why he’s not using the space creation moves other guys are he’s using street moves hesitations, fake outs, jab steps, jump stops, triple cross overs. He’s going to score 20 per and be fun to watch doing it. His main issue is vision but that’s because he’s a street baller. Vision will come with time, watching video? Coaching.

first of all, no, he's not the best offensive weapon in the draft, not even close. he's a scoring dynamo but offensive weapons are much more than that in today's NBA...and, tbh, he doesn't really offer anything more tangible than a guy like Cam Thomas or Bones Hyland that you can get a 20 picks later in the draft

as for not having spacing in college...that ain't a uniquely Bouknight issue, that's an issue for everyone that plays in the NCAA and all the prospect we evaluate...I'd also add that he was a huge reason why his team didn't have any spacing...a completely heliocentric player with nonexistent passing ability/vision is a space killer...he also took just 37 spot up 3s on the season...and made a whopping 8% of them...so 29% from 3 overall and 22% as a spot up shooter in the NCAA...to act like he wasn't one of the reason, if not the primary reason for UCONN not having any space is being disingenuous.

Pelton's system was super not high on this dude. Had him ranked 32.

OK have you ever seen an NBA player shoot? 20 straight corner threes in an open gym is pretty routine. You're starting to sound like that CJ Elleby guy last year.

Can’t blame his injury on his poor shooting when his 3% prior to Jan 5th wasn’t anything special.

Game 1 1-4
Game 2 2-7
Game 3 3-6
Game 4 5-12
Game 5 0-4

Tally that up and it's 11/33 for 33%.

Post Jan 5th Numbers 11/41 for 26%

Can he shoot yes but he definitely has a quick trigger finger to jack up some bad shots. He's a bigger Cole Anthony Jamaal Crawford type player, microwave off the bench volume shooter.

If he goes to the right team that can let him do what he does best he should be fine. OKC GS & Sacramento could be those spots.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

He has a 43 inch vert and can jump 63 and 64 inch boxes. He’s way more athletic than both bones and cam. Favorited right now to go top 5. +350 at 5.

Read on Twitter
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Guy is a drunk and has no work ethic. I wish stuff like that was known in the predraft process. Like a box that asks "is this guy a bonehead?"

Better sign him then. Monk is a sixth man candidate.

I’m not sure what happen with this guy, I haven’t followed him. But there were some scoring highlights that popped pre-draft. Definitely a disappointment so far.
