I mean, there's just nothing really to say. He's going to be an 8-9 out of 10 on defense and a 5 out of 10 on offense and be around the 15th best center in the NBA. He's four years away from being able to hang in the NBA too and his playstyle produces no highlights. There's nothing to discuss.

So there's no uncertainty at all about him? Completely known and defined skill set?

Why is that the case for him and not the other top picks?

Clingan's archetype is much more risky and allows for more arguing. Is he as mobile as Gobert or is he a step down?

Risacher's archetype is also extremely boring, but he's played badly for the last two months so people are more interested in talking about him.

Edey is basically Yao Ming teleported to the future and this is pretty interesting to talk about, players like that don't exist anymore.

Sheppard is a hyper productive 6'1" 3D player with limited athleticism, can that player succeed at all in the NBA?

Cody Williams also has gotten no talk, but that's because he's barely played this season.

Sarr is extremely mobile and has very good defensive technique so he'll probably be a very good defender once he gets to 245 to 250 pounds. Sarr's explosion isn't great and his skills are not good so he'll probably just be an OK rim protector and mediocre offensive player. He's just boring.

And he's depressing to talk about as the #1 pick. Nic Claxton is a guy who should be your 4th or 5th best player and taking your 4th or 5th best player first overall is really sad. The circumstances are also pretty bad for most teams. The Hornets, Pistons, and Jazz taking Sarr means they would be giving up on their young center (Hornets because Mark Williams' back is ****, Pistons because Duren has sucked, and Jazz because the coach's scheme doesn't fit Kessler at all) for a guy in Sarr with almost no star potential. That is also pretty depressing.

Mind sharing the lottery numbers for next week?

Also can you put your preditions for all the other prospects as well? Might as well just close the entire Draft Board, since there's nothing to discuss about anybody when you already know where they'll be in 5 years

The other draft prospects are a lot more uncertain, lol. Sarr is so developed in his strengths and weaknesses that it's hard to see him becoming a much different player in the future. He really wants to be a stretch 5 but he's really bad at this. He's an extremely high level perimeter defender, but not a great rim protector. The only major uncertainty is how much weight he can put on before he starts losing athleticism. He needs to put on like 30-40 pounds.

There is nothing "certain" or "uncertain" about any prospect. If that was the case you wouldn't be writing on RealGM but earning millions as the best scout in sports history

It's not the case at all. Most of what that guy said is a load of crap - he's a troll.

What is interesting at all about Sarr to even talk about though.

He's elite at perimeter defense
He's just good at interior defense
He's a bad rebounder who will hopefully be good
He has nothing going for him on offense.

He has pretty defined strengths and weaknesses other than how much weight he can put on.

What are the major uncertainties or swing skills for him?

Sarr is James Wiseman without the cancerousness and with elite perimeter defense.

How good is that? IDK, like the 15th best center in the league.

Few weeks ago you were saying he was Evan Mobley, and you were calling him a bust.
Is it still like the 15th best center in the league ?
I believe for most people Mobley is top 7 PF/C in the league and projects higher in the near future

He's already 224 pounds which is good given how young he is (juste 19 years old). He'll easily put 20-30 pounds before he gets into his prime

There is no person alive who views Mobley as a top 7 center in the NBA.

Jokic
Embiid
Wemby
AD
Gobert
Porzingis
Chet
Bam
Jarrett Allen

Are all just better before you get into arguable but probably better guys like

Sabonis
Sengun

And guys who are nearly as good in:

Claxton
Zubac
Myles Turner

This puts Mobley in the 12 to 15 range.

My concerns about Sarr relative to Mobley are:

-He's much worse as a ball handler
-He's much worse as a passer
-... Can Sarr catch the ball?

Sarr is bulking up well relative to Mobley so that's good, but I'm getting tons of Wiseman flashbacks recently with people talking about how Sarr is struggling to catch rebounds and catch out of the pick-and-roll.

PF/C = players that can play both positions. That's what make Mobley or Sarr so valuable : they are mobile enough to defend the forward positions, and on offense they can shoot and handle a little
According to your list he is 5th : Wemby, AD, Porzi, Chet are ahead of him. And he's only 22 years old so he can improve a lot, especially in shooting.

None of Wemby, AD, or Porzingis can realistically play PF and Sarr cannot realistically play PF either.

Taylor Hendricks was one of the worst offensive PFs in the NBA last year.

... He shoots 38% from three and is better at everything on offense than Sarr.

Like, is there a single aspect of offense where Sarr is better than Hendricks? And Hendricks is a massively better shooter and he's still a really bad offensive player for PF.
