Right?

Either you are an ATG defender like Draymond [Incredible passer and IQ], Gobert or Bam or else you are an elite offensive player/physical imposing [Giannis].

I mean, it's just pretty unclear how good Flagg's jumpshot is right now. His release point is extremely high which gives him great upside as a scorer, but it looks really awkward and weird as well. We need to know how often it goes in. If it doesn't go in much, he's closer to Herb Jones than a star.

40% from the high school 3 this season, 85% from the line.

Liam McNeely (6'7 SG/SF) going to UConn. Will be interesting to see how Hurley uses his skillset.

Great decision by him. Great coach and program. Hopefully Karaban returns too.

Kentucky can't be mad because they stole Memphis' great recruiting class to get Cal.

Assuming no freshmen undeclare which ones do you all think could make that top 20 draft pick leap?

Ivisic, Mgbako, Wagner, Bradshaw, Stojakovic?

all possibilities i'd throw in Eric Dailey, Brandon Garrison, KJ Evans and KJ Lewis as early darkhorses, maybe Mookie Cook gets healthy and finally wakes up

Maybe Mgbako because they've done extremely well with transfers so will likely make the tournament and his role won't be affected. If he improves at all he'll be knocking on top 20. As long as Calipari doesn't bring in another center Ivisic could rehab his draft stock but I wouldn't count on it. I don't know why he'd follow Calapari to Arkansas after how he was utilized last year. Wagner just isn't that good enough due to lack of athleticism and measurables. Bradshaw is a knucklehead and going to Ohio State won't help him at all. Stojakovic put playing near home on the West Coast (again) above his draft stock by choosing Cal so he's not likely either.

we'll see what happens when guys like Sean Stewart and TJ Power get more minutes on another team, or maybe a sleeper like Devin Royal who i actually kinda liked in HS

I'm sure there are examples but I struggle to think of guys who didn't do anything as freshmen then went on to be mid-first round picks. Maybe Keegan Murray?

I just don't get why these guys are willing to be buried on the bench their freshman years. There are so many college teams, go somewhere you can get minutes. If your freshman season is wasted, it's hard to bounce back from that.

there are plenty, just last year we had Podz and Hawkins, before that Keegan Murray, Johnny Davis and Dalen Terry, etc.

but yea in general I agree, useless most people that come back and coming back for a reason (they are not NBA-good), and I will never understand why all these dudes go to the same schools...just no competitive juices at all which probably has to do with them not being very good.

if Naas wasn't a complete disappointment his senior year he would've made the top of this class better, turns out he sucks and never developed beyond his sophomore year.

wild he how went from being ranked #1 a couple of years ago in this class to like 30s now.

Can Maluach actually shoot or move.

His highlights are really rough.

He has Gobert measurements, but none of the athleticism (yet?) from what I can tell.

25pt for Nolan Traore in French Elite yesterday.

Watch on YouTube

Best scoring perfomance for an under 18 yo player in France, even Wembanyama and Tony Parker did not score as much at such a young age, it's very impressive !

Nolan scored 18 + 8 ast in the game before.

He was a good prospect but he is exploding this year, very fast and athletic PG with scoring aggressiveness

Looking like a top 3-5 pick and could be a game changer next to some athletic bigs/wings. I tell you what... if the Spurs could get him with Atlanta's pick next year. Man, that would be something. Here's hoping he stays overseas and plays in the French pro league. Don't even waste time in a college basketball system developing skills that don't translate to the NBA game.

with the disclaimer that it's still super early and i don't like commenting on international guys this early, i feel like both Gonzalez and Traore are better talents than Topic from first glance

France hasn't really produced many good NBA players so it's cool that it looks like they're turning the corner.
