Hornets at Spurs 1/26/08

Post#1 » by Ballings7 » Sat Jan 26, 2008 7:49 am

This should be a good game to watch... but I can legitimately see us losing this, and am leaning more to New Orleans. So I'll go with them. Obviously a realistic win for us, though.

Well we pretty much controlled the game after the 1st qtr the last time we played them and Parker held his own and outplayed Paul. It isn't going to be that easy this time around. They are a much better team and Paul has elevated his game to an MVP level, something that can not be said of his other draft mates.

Simple... we have to limit Paul. It is much easier said than done but put Bowen and Ukoda on him. West is perhaps the best player that doesn't get enough props. I wish we had Chandler on our team. What other thoughts. We need to be sharp on our three point shooting. It is feast or* famine it appears. Anyways we need to get as many W's before the big ass road trip.

I don't see us giving this game up easy, this is the final home game before that killer road trip, it'll be a big confidence booster to have a winning streak for the road.

we went away from what we've been doing..Duncan only has 10 shots so far, and we're down 14..

nobody can make anything..2-15 from 3's..

Parker keeps getting caught on screens..West just won't miss..

Robert Horry is taking shots, even though it's January..obviously he's missing..

Bowen doesn't have a shot..

and most importantly..Ginobili is completely playing like **** lately..3-16, 5-12, and 4-11 right now, and significant turnovers in all of those games..

we still aren't where we should be..losing by 20 at home is just disgusting and should never happen..

 Spurs are getting worked, I hope they have nightmares about this game with the terrible shot selection and horrible coaching Pop did tonight, how many times does West have to burn Oberto to change plans man?

about to go get smashed, good night folks. :D

Surprised how we lost... but yeah, I expect a decent road trip.

I'll hold you to that for the spring time. Also, really, until the Spurs are eliminated from the playoffs, they're still the team to beat and the defending champions.

sounds like someone is worried about the suns doesnt it??

what happened in this one guys? the suns have had trouble with the hornets also this season, i didnt see the game - just wondering what they did to get you so out of sorts? (im taking notes hoping the suns can find a way to match it ;-))

i guess we will see you guys at the end of next week, should be fun

well, lets just say you keep Raja Bell on West instead of Paul, because he was single handedly killing the Spurs.

I'd still take Nash slightly ahead of Paul..CP3 is great, but he wasn't the reason we lost..

Manu Ginobili's ball hogging is really annoying me..LET'S RUN THE O THROUGH DUNCAN LIKE WE'VE BEEN DOING LATELY, SINCE IT'S ACTUALLY EFFECTIVE..
