2ND Q: SPURS 69 LAKERS 62

Scoring 27 is decent after pouring in 42 previously. But allowing 40 to give the opponent some momentum and hope after all the good work we did on D is not.

We got bodied badly in the paint, were late on pretty much all 3s contests, allowing wiiiide open shot after wide open shot. We also had trouble getting through their zone D but like JJ just said, you cans still run a (high) P&R to penetrate like Keldon did on our final shot of the Q.

We have allowed a 8-5 O boards edge. We HAVE to PUSH at them. HAVE TO.

Devin cooked early, Keldon cooked in the 2ND Q, and Wemby is only 3-8. Branham is only 3-4. Get these guys the ball.

Is Sochan injured os was he benched? He played 5 minutes in the 1ST Q, finished the half with 8 minutes, no shots. He does have 3 fouls already, but goodness we need guys to step up. He's a big body on D that we miss on that end.

We settled for too many outside shots, especially the non-paint Js that we got baited into one-and-done. We got complacent, then couldn't find quick enough way to get through their zone.

Doug and Graham are barely warm bodies out there, and team worst -8 in 6 minutes and -5 in 8 minutes, respectively. Either they give us *something* or put MAMU in.

We need to get physical, pick up the pace, get the boards, and keep pushing at them. Contest all shots. Push the ball quickly. Get to the FT line. Make our shots. D to O. D to O. D to O.

Sochan GREAT vertical two handed stop at the rim. Yep, he's very valuable on D for us. AND is giving up the ball more quickly on O in transition.
