Dom should have rolled back to cover the rolling C instead of soft doubling the ball handler up top with Blake.

Keldon did everything right on that drive except went scoop at the rim against their C. Not effective.

And then we're out of position - again - on D.

We have Blake, Devin, Keldon, Sochan, Dom out there now.

To Blake's credit, he's doing a sound job staying in front of Mitch, taking that one quick step over screens, arms out, feet moving quickly.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then Sochan follows that up with grabbing a board, dribbling full court, not passing to anybody, not bothering to look elsewhere, sets up into a post up and misses. **** brutal dumb O possession.

So among our last shots, Devin J miss, that Sochan tunnel vision above, and Devin splitting D for a contested miss.

Too many missed chances from guys not being able to trust one another in the passes with Sochan on the court.

2ND Q: SPURS 56 CAVS 62

So those two end of 1ST Q 3s are still the difference. Grrr...

We lost this Q by 10, 34-24, and it's the bad court vision/looking to get their own/rushing shots/not passing as a PG in Blake and an O initiator when he brings up the ball Sochan which causes the team to lose trust in their getting the ball to the right spots, making the right plays, and it affects how we play. Not together as well as we have shown we can.

I don't care that Sochan has only taken 4 shots, or that he's 2-4, 1-2 from 3. It's not the volume, like if he takes few shots the selfish tunnel vision ones are ok. They are not. He's a starter, he has shown he can make the pass when he wants to but it's **** brutal in a close game to watch him heave a contested 3 miss without looking elsewhere or dribbling full court, four Spurs in right spots, and he refuses to give up the ball, setting himself up, clock running down, posting up. Even if he made that shot I'd be using it as film of what not to do.

Blake has shown good D but does not operate as a PG in terms of reads and finding team mates well. He CAN do it as he's shown in a pick and pop with Dom, for instance, but he looks to shoot first and I don't like that.

Somehow Branham is -14 in only 6 minutes.

ANOTHER scoreless half from Julian. Do we know he can make 3s? I've been hard on him for not scoring but the thing about him in for Keldon is 3&D, but unlike Keldon he doesn't set himself up. We have to do better in getting him the ball.

Speaking of which, Keldon leads the bench with 12 points on 5-11, 2-4 from 3.

We're wasting a great all around game from Devin. He leads us with 15 on 6-12, 3-4 from 3.

Only 1 assist from the entire bench unit. Oof.

But only 1 TO this Q, so that's better.

Wemby looks tired, bogged down a bit with some early fouls. Some wonky passes.

It just goes to show how much one or two guys, especially if they're on the court together, affects our O flow. We can't afford to waste possessions as they go me-time. I hope they got these out of their system or otherwise they sit.

Wemby early foul swinging through with his elbow into defender's face. I recall seeing a practice video snippet of Pop going over with Wemby about how to turn into defenders to keep his elbows above or below the head.

Sochan AGAIN calls his own number, again posts up, and again when he falls, he stays on the floor for like 3 seconds as if to emphasize the, what? foul? GET THE **** UP, PASS THE **** BALL.

See that was a very nice Sochan 3. C&S off of passing it around. Simple, passing based basketball.

Sochan nice pass. But I STILL do not like when he then goes all tunnel vision. It is just not the RIGHT PLAY.

Branham burned on another drive, and once again it is down the middle. Oof.

He made the basket on the other end.

He has to either become an elite scorer (and he's got a nice scoring package already), or he has to really truly become something less than a total D liability.

Really nice Cedi and Dom passing.

Good Dom D and then team fight for the ball.

Good Keldon drive for the FTs.

Each one, team strengths.

Good active man D yeah.

And HEY TWO O boards punched out to keep the possession. Then we TO it. And we foul them.

0-2 and a TO on a single O possession.

But I like the effort from D to O to O board activity.
