Wemby spins off his man, is CLEARLY OPEN DOWN LOW, hand up, yet Devin decides to drive and take a contested shot. Yes he made the floater but it was a MISSED RIGHT PLAY, the easier play, the team-first play.

I DO NOT TRUST DEVIN WITH THE BALL IN HIS HANDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING, TO MAKE THE RIGHT PLAY.

Zach has lost almost all bounce on D and is getting exploited easily.

Sochan has his back turned to inbounder to survey who we can pick up.

They get an open J but luckily miss.

Not sure I love that strategy as Sochan is not the fastest. And the inbounder is the most dangerous man once the ball is on the court.

2ND Q: SPURS 51 HEAT 53

It's a grind of a game. Neither team is scoring well, and although a physical game, neither is getting an easy whistle. We've done well with our chances, making 5-6FTs.

Only 5TOs is terrific so far.

We've done well passing the bal around quickly to break down their 2-3 zone but we're missing open shots.

We're missing Wemby down low in the few chances we do get as he's covered with physicality to his center of gravity which takes him off balance. He still leads us on an efficient 12 points on 5-9, 1-2 from 3, 1-1FT along with 7 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block. Terrific.

Sochan has a load and quick learning curve in guarding FT hunter and sniper Butler. He's 2-3. Busy on D. Hopefully we get him more shots on O. Julian 1-3. Tre 2-3 and leads starters with 4 assists. Devin 5-12, 0-3 from 31-1FT *sigh* missed Wemby on a couple of passes inside after the latter did great work to get rare open space. Again, I dont trust Devin to make the right decisions, team first decisions, and based on some contested misses in favour of right passes to teammates, that stands until he changes.

Blur Blake has 4 assists as well, and is showing some terrific off ball movement now as well.

Keldon is struggling for 1-5. We need him to get inside and punish defenders on hard drives, get to the FT line more.

Nice to seee Zach making some shots. 2-4 with 3 boards, 2 assists. Getting torched on D though. Something to monitor.

Doug and Cedi doing their thing, if sparingly given the few chances they're getting.

Branham. No PT. Yep. One selfish game and he sits. Maybe we're resting him for tomorrow. lol maybe he's just needing a reinforcing of the message to play team first.

We have 18 assists and 3 steals.

We have to protect the arc better, and get into their paint more. Don't fall in love with the dribbling and waiting for the perfect play. Keep the ball moving, move defenders, get open lanes.

Team first.
