Poor Barlow is 100% pass first because we never involve him. I'd love to see him given a chance to play and get more comfortable.

Yeah Sochan can't wrestle there. Like Sean said, release then bang again. Shoving will always get called even if the other player is initiating physicality.

2ND Q: SPURS 51 MAGIC 57

Well it was a scrambling type of Q and we were on the wrong end of it for too many plays. Missed bunnies, not the best shot selection (though it looks like we're taking more outside shots to get a reprieve from banging with a big opponent) and since the outside shots are not falling (2-14 from 3 oof) the paint can't open up.

Of course it doesn't help when our own players get in the driving space of teammates. Julian. Just like wake up. 0-2. -6.

I'm going to try to keep this as measured as I can - he is playing very unintelligently and with effort that would make a sloth look fast. ****.

Branham ran a P&R with Dom, ok. He finished a pass from Wemby ok. And I still don't like his mememe what else is there game. Has LOTS of work to do to show he deserves minutes. He's only played when we didnt' have injuries to forwards or guards.

Games like this we really miss Keldon and even Zach, though the latter's been struggling. He's still a bigger body who could lay down a screen and post up D. Keldon would play if he could.

Sochan came out a man possessed, grabbing O boards, running the floor, blocking shots, finishing at the rim. One of the best halves we've seen him play. Decisive. Assertive. Impactful on both ends. Just 3 fouls already took him out with 11 on 5-8, 6 boards (4 on O!), 1 assist, 2 blocks.

Devin is determined to do better and has been driving relentlessly, physically, finishing well. Good shot selection as well with 5-10 but only 1-2 from 3 - not settling for the outside shot, good. 3-3FTs. Good.

Wemby is getting banged around and is still finding ways to score, tied for team high with Devin with 14 but on 5-13, 1-4 from 3, with 6 boards (1 on O), 3 assists, 2 blocks. Inefficient, but our space is getting taken away quickly and the alley oop passes need to be better.

Tre is driving hard and is 3-4FTs but other than that it's been hard for him to score on an Entish-sized opponent.

Our bench has often come through for us but without Keldon (and to a lesser extent Zach) we only have 9 bench points.

We should try Mamu and Diakite.

We're rebounding well, shooting FTs well, but we NEED TO MAKE OUR 3S!

Devin got stuck having to cover two players.

This might be the dumbest game I've seen Julian play.

Sochan bad decision to take it end to end, not pass to anyone else, knocks into Wemby, they both go down like bowling pins. WE get scored on and foul the other way.
