Presti talks about trade exceptions

Post#1 » by Det the Threat » Mon Jan 7, 2008 4:11 pm

Some news here.

Presti talked about those two trade exceptions we still have from those Allen(about $2.5 mil) and Lewis(about $1 mil, after that Thomas deal) and that he's open to using them, if another team wants salary cap relief.

So i guess it would be something in the mold of that Thomas deal, which adds us a guy with a contract that's probably not all that long(probably not longer then 2009) and either a younger player or draft pick/picks, to sweeten the deal.

Notebook | Club might be go-between as trading deadline nears

BTW: Another article states that the Heat called and offered Smush Parker, which Presti declined.
NO SMUSH: The Miami Heat contacted the Sonics about troubled guard Smush Parker, and the Sonics told the club they weren't interested. Parker, who had an infamous tiff with former Sonics coach Bob Hill while at Fordham, was banished by the Heat following an altercation with a Miami parking lot attendant about a fee. He hasn't played since Nov. 24.
