I don't know about you but I'd be hard pressed to pay a guy 40m a year who only plays 60% of the season.

Some Knicks fans think he will get 30-35. I still insist he's getting 40. including playoffs, he has played 31 games for them and missed 32 (and counting). This will be fascinating to see what he ultimately gets.

I am so glad the Raps won't be the ones giving that contract. We already know he's missing the next 2 games but would any of us really be surprised if he is out for at least 3-4 weeks? I hope he isn't because I want to see less injuries, and I personally think having the Pacers somehow fluke their way to the ECF is bad for the game.

The problem for the Pacers and Knicks is, if they don't sign Pascal and OG to max deals, the Sixers and Pistons will easily pay them max deals.

So they are going to be forced to max them.

OG would ironically be a perfect fit in our current SL and I'd pay him $35m/year for the opportunity gladly.

IQ
Dick
OG
Barnes
Poeltl

with RJ as the 6th man can go places. Add in a top 6 2024 pick? That's a future.

Siakam just gets worse and worse shooting free throws. I'd rather have Shaq at the line at this point

100% The threat of a desperate Philly team looming is going to get Siakam and OG maxed.

RB could also fit well with the starters, OG gives the added shooting.

OG kind of would be perfect.

I'd go into the tax easily if it meant signing both IQ and OG. MLSE already charges exorbitant ticket prices and people are clearly okay with it so they can still make profit. Plus playoff profits.

That team still lacks a guy to be your main scorer... pretty much the 2021-2023 team but with less scoring.

If we are paying someone 35M, they better be a guy who can put the ball in the hoop consistently, and allow Barnes to focus on being the super role player doing everything else at an A+ level.

OG injured again. Thats definitly one of the reasons he was traded away, cause he aint worth the money if he doesnt play.

Just would need some depth around the margins and I gotta say...that would be a incredible team.

Huge reason why losing OG is not as big of a deal as some said. When he plays he is great. Problem is he never plays. In 7 years, including 5 playoff runs, OG suited up 422 times.

74, 67, 69, 43, 48, 67, 50

That is his games per year.

208 games in his last 4 years. Kawhi missed an entire season and is at 172. That is not good.

Defensively yes. Offensively no.

You’re right but not at 35 million per for a play-in team

OG only missed 31-32 games this year? Seemed like way more lol

Zach lowe was saying people would rag on the raptors when watching this series but the way its been playing out shows you exactly why there was no long term commitment to either player. siakam had a good game last night but has been over non impactful in this series. OG is now injured.
while I still think that the siakam trade return was underwhelming, I'm glad the FO did the moves they did even if there were a bit late.

40% of the season to be fair

Probably a combination of missing most Knick games and me skipping most of the raptor games this season making me feel like he barely played

At least Pascal is playing, how long is OG out? Hammy can take a while, I had it when playing soccer, I think it took me about 3 weeks, I was able to play about 3.5 weeks later.
