I **** love CB4, would hate the Raps losing him and would love to see him end his career here. He took the whole organization, along with all of our hopes, on his back after VC left. He's been so passionate about improving and winning since he came here. I remember when VC was still a 'tor and he turned the ball over or something and the camera showed him laughing while CB was looking really pissed off. That was when he was a rookie (maybe second year). Most of the teams in the league would love a franchise player with his passion for winning. The thing is, he hasn't been the same for the last few weeks or so. Ever since the MVP/Mitchell/2010 talk, he seems to be missing something. Ya, he's still putting up decent numbers, but unfortunately, he's put this on himself.
The majority of Raps fans are from Canada and we as a people value hard work and the drive to succeed. Raps fans were used to our role players being the hardest workers on the team (ie. JYD... yes, i got him in!), we've never really seen it from our star players. I'm not ragging on any former players here it's just my opinion. CB has always focused on not only making himself better as a player, but also on making the players around him better as well as making the team better. We just haven't seen that determination in a little while. He had it for a nice five minute stretch after that blown dunk tonight. He played great defense, moved without the ball on O, and drove to the bucket three out of four offensive sets. He had been doing that consistently for the first month and a half then he stopped. I think a lot of it had to do with the losing. He was playing at a level just below LBJ, Kobe and CP3 and we we still losing games and slipping to/under .500. Frustration has to take a toll. The players around him are so inconsistent.
About the fans at the ACC, why the f*** are they (or we, wahtever) always sitting on thier hands? When the team's in a slump get loud. When they need a stop get loud. When the team needs a lift GET THE **** OFF YOUR FEET!!! How bonehead are we? How can we have some opposing coaches/players saying that our 'barn' his the loudest they've ever been in, and others saying it the quietest? CB is right to some extent, even though I hate hearing players whine about fans, especially since they are terribly overpaid while we have to pay to watch them get paid. I'm not complaining about how much they get paid because sports are an excellent release from the everyday grind, but sometimes I wish they were able to put themselves in our shoes.
Hopefully, they can get three out of the next four games to get things going. I hate not wanting to watch the games (which I still do, of course); it's getting sad. go raps go.... please!
that's my rant, sorry for the swearing
