Decent athlete/motor, can shoot 3s well (NBA range), and has good size who can develop into a stretch 4/5. Used to be guard but had a late growth spurt so still has ways to go as a big. Worth taking a shot due to his age and potential, and I think his weaknesses can be developed over time: strength/finishing touch at the rim/left hand.

Tyler will be fine at 19; he needs to be a better rim protector though. Holmes may be a safer pick.

Holmes will be 22, while Smith with be 19 in his first season. That's a big difference. At 6'11 with a 7'1 wingspan and the athleticism he's shown. I doubt Smith lasts until the 19th pick.

Much safer. But if he isn't on the board and we need a big, I might look at Smith. Not taking either of these guys over a PG though.

The way he moves out there and his size also reminds me of norm. Norm couldn’t shoot at Stephons age either. Norm was a bit longer and a bit more explosive though, but stephon better defender feel wise and better overall feel, as you mentioned the court vision/ passing. I still think stephons workouts will determine a lot, specifically how much you believe he can improve as a shooter. If he can become the shooter norm is, he’d be a pretty impactful player but that’s a big if.

Smith and DaSilva aren't bigs. Of the rest, I prefer Holmes, but I know Filipowski has fans

For me it goes:

1) Holmes (stud, just does his job very well)
2) Ware (talent wise he’s easily #1)
3) Flip (liked him a lot last year, but less this year)
4) Da Silva (not a big, but solid)
5) Smith (something throws me off here, I don’t see consistent production long term)
6) Chomche (tbf I haven’t researched him deeply yet)

I thought it was just me who thought that.

I think it's the way they move and look, because they're very different players overall.

In order from most to least...

Ware...if the FO thinks they can keep him motivated and pushing himself to be better. He's very clearly talented and his combination of size/athleticism is enticing but, well there's a reason why the comparisons to Deandre Ayton work on multiple levels. That's up to them to figure out when evaluating them. If they like what they see/hear then he's the guy to go with. If they see some red flags then it might be best to go with someone else.

Smith: Pretty standard modern stretch 4/5. His free throw percentage (and remember that this is the G League where free throws are handled...differently) and general shooting seem like they're poised to translate and he adds notable size to either the bench or starting lineup. The only major caveat I have with him is his defense is more theoretical than it is him being a good defender/having good defensive instincts. He's 19 years old and has all the tools to be an effective two-way player but at minimum he should bring some offense along with notable size to the team.

Da Silva: Lowest ceiling of the 4 but easily the most likely to make an immediate contribution. Solid shooter, solid defender, does his job well at the 4. He's actually older than Scottie Barnes is, if you can believe it.

Filipowski is essentially just "what if Kelly Olynyk but you had to develop him into another Kelly?" as a prospect and I don't see the point of getting a 2nd Kelly unless you think Kyle can be a better defender than Kelly is.

Yup. His size, speed & footwork mainly. I agree with norm being the more explosive & powerful athlete. Castle looks smoother/ more finesse.

I like Castles shooting mechanics more than Norms. I think there is more potential there.

I think Castle will be a good NBA player. Just not sure how good. He'll at least be a good role.player..

Realistically I see him becoming Josh Hart or Norm Powell more than I see him becoming a legit allstar.

Has everyone come around to Holland being the best pick at 6 (assuming no Sarr)?

Collier and Devin Carter probably wont be there at 19.

Furphy is 5050 to be available at 19 IMO. They might take him if they think hes BPA and roll with another kansans wing

Couldn't disagree more - the talent is so fungible that it's not worth paying the price to move up - just hope your team does a better job of evaluating than other teams.

I can see Kings using their lotto pick to move off of Harrison Barnes while getting some vet pieces back. Hopefully BB is someone that entices them

Been looking into him. Guy looks really, really good. Interesting that he really isn't mentioned anywhere.

I would give him a hard look if we don't keep #6.

Might even be worth it to see if we could grab another first in this draft.

Rather have him at 19 than a lot of the names being mentioned

I think Castle, if we keep our pick, is a homerun. He seems a better reader of what is going on in a game where Norm was often head down leading a charge. Later Norm was completely different than early Norm. Better and more consistent shooter. More efficient too. Hard to recall Norm as the 4th developed piece by Masai. We think of Paskal, Fred, OG and forget Norm. Norm was the first to go of this last talent pool. Poetl should be in this group but he left for Kawhi so him coming back is the last of that group. Masai got very lucky with these players but he was never prepared to pay some or all them max and near max deals. I bet he wanted to pay OG but OG was his only bonafide trade chip.
