Billups is well deserved.

I would take Billups over VC any day of the week, but it was obvious VC was going to make it because of his longevity and being top 25 all-time in scoring.

Lowry should make it to the HOF for sure...his resume rivals Billups although Billups FMVP counts for a lot as well.

Billups - Champion, FMVP, 5 time all-star, 1 time all NBA 2nd team, 2 all NBA defense second teams.

Lowry - Champion, 6 time all-star, 1 time all NBA 3rd team, Olympic champion. Also Lowry is currently 21st all-time in assists, 13th all-time 3 pointers made, and 56th all-time in steals.

I wish they had an official stat for charges, because Lowry might be the greatest player of all time in taking charges.

As best Raptor or best player to wear a Raptor uniform?

In terms of best Raptor he's not even top 100...he played here for 29 games and was very underwhelming.

In terms of best player to a wear a Raptor uniform...he's probably top 10 alongside guys like Demar and Bosh.

Hakeem, Lowry, Kawhi, VC, McGrady, Demar, Bosh, Billups, Siakam, Gasol, O'Neal, Marion, and Camby are probably the best players to ever wear a Raptor uniform.

VC is deserved based on peak, national and international legacy, and longevity.

Billups is a little surprising imo, but understandable. He was pointgod before CP3 in those early 2000s. One of the best ever floor generals. Lowry is going to make it too.

Yes it is understandable he wanted out.

It is unforgivable that he tanked his trade value. Unforgivable. You don't forgive something for which there has been no apology.

OG and Pascal knew there were trade discussions. They never tanked their trade value to either avoid a trade and stay, or to put pressure on to speed up a trade.

Please don't post any, "I remember his dunk contest, or I've seen his dunk contest highlights, so I think his jersey should be retired," crap. And please don't post and, "put us on the map," crap. Putting us on the map plus a Roll up the Rim win will get your a coffee at Tim Hortons.

1 playoff series win does not get your jersey retired.

I didn't say it in retrospect. I said it the exact day he started for New Jersey and we all realized we had been conned.

Mighty Mouse made the Raptors cool before Vince arrived.

For all the challenges with Vince as he left, the fact that he's likely going into the hall with #15 in a Raps jersey, makes me really enjoy the fact that the Raps are retiring his number. There will never be another 2000's dunk contest or dunk over frederic weis again.

Nah. It deserves its own thread. Plus Vince said he's gonna choose the Raps as his jersey and he will be the first ever to go in the hall with a Raptors jersey on. It's big news IMO.

Understood, but I'll be cheering just as hard for Lowry when he's inducted—and Demar too, if he ever gets in.

Side note: I'd welcome Demar back with open arms if he ever chose to return.

Hopefully his Jersey gets retired here next. Shambles for the hater crowd.

haha! Can't wait for the GB reaction to this.

Sorry, I might be out of loop but how is Billups going to HOF good news for Lowry and why would GB be in shambles?

And yes, I am aware Billups played a big role when Lowry moved to play for the Raptors. Lowry was having 'trouble' accepting a backup PG role to Jose Calderone. Billups talked sense into Lowry. And Lowry flourished year after year.
