Trade Jakob to OKC for the 12th pick, grab Ron Holland (if he drops), if not grab the highest upside SF

Draft Edey at 19th
Da Silva or Tyson at 31

Tank for 2025

Uh, don't you have a very expensive C, already?

It got boring watching Edey in March with that constant diet of hook shots. But if he has any kind of face up game, especially from 3, then I'm in. The shot would be unguardable.

Would rather he be unstoppable down low.

Edey will be on a rookie contract and Ayton can take his clown act somewhere else.

Can someone start a poll.

How many people think barnes rj quick and bench full of kids is enough of a foundation or not.

Just throwing it out there!

That said i think barnes and rj are both legit as our 1 - 2

If we throw 7 nworas at the wall theres bound to be a couple young norm powells or siakams in there!

I can't see Holland dropping that much. Edey at 19 isn't much of a reach. He probably goes to the Knicks if we don't take him at #19.

If you really want Holland, the deal probably has to be something like Poeltl and #19 for Adams and #3. Helps the tank, gets your man, and makes Poeltl happy not to be on a team actively tanking in 2025. And Poeltl is a better fit for Houston then Adams.

BBQ + Dick and Ochai is a start but we obviously need more talent brought on to this roster along with internal development to i.e. rework the bench and figure out who is where in the starting 2-4 spots. RJ/IQ/SB/JP are the obvious starters but only 2 are locked for their positions i.e. Quickley is the PG, Jakob is the C.

Troll proposal:

Draft Bronny James at 19
Trade #1
Poeltl + Brown (accept option) to LAL for Reaves, Hachimura and Vincent. (works for financials)

Trade #2
S&T GTJ for 3x$20m + Bronny James (pick 19) at $2.8 mil for D Lo, Jaxson Hayes, LAL 2026 (or '27?) 1st.

Full trade is:
Poeltl, Brown, GTJ (re-signed), Bronny James to LAL for Dlo (expiring), Vincent, Hachimura, Reaves, 2026/27 1st.
We basically hold Bronny hostage for that LAL pick, and Reaves. Can LAL afford to say no?

LAL SL would be:
Brown / GTJ / LBJ / AD / Poeltl
Bronny, Vanderbilt, Prince, Hood-Schifino, Wood PO, Reddish PO, Jones, Lewis.

Raptors:
IQ / Reaves / Barrett / Barnes / Olynyk
Russell / Vincent / Agbaji / Hachimura / Hayes

Obviously LAL depth is trash, but if they can pickup a starting PG on the cheap/MLE, they're actually not too bad. I hear Dennis Schroder is available? Having Poeltl also pushes AD back to PF where he likes it and GTJ gives them more shooting than Reaves.

Raptors actually end up with great depth and an actual bench. Plus the future pick. I presume Russell gets shipped out eventually to another contender. Obviously, it's an overpay by the Lakers and would likely never happen unless LBJ DEMANDED they trade for Bronny. But it would be hilarious if we were the team to hold him ransom.

It would take a little renouncing but financially, I think we can get there. He only missed 5 games this year and played almost 30mpg. His 41% from three seems perfect next to RJ/Barnes/IQ. We’d probably need to overpay and I’ve been vocal about keeping our financial flexibility, but is this potentially a buy-low opportunity? Like, 3 years/70 million and I think I’m happy. He would play off the ball all night and give us that beautiful spacing.

If he leaves GS, he goes to a contender. He's a role player type now, not really a star. His shooting isn't really the usual "otherwordly" level either. 38.7% last year, 2nd year in 3 years under 40%.

DominEdey?
I do find the Ayton situation with Portland interesting in that they are kind of stuck with him. Usually, the play to dump a player is to either take on additional money or attach an asset. I can't see Portland attaching an draft asset to him and they are crazily almost a tax team.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

This makes so much sense.

With #12, I'm drafting Carlton Carrington as I think he'd be gone by #19 based on the combine vertical and 3pt shooting ability! Like he's a better prospect now than Cason Wallace was last year and he was drafted #10.

Then at #19, maybe Filipowski drops? Or take Tyler Smith or KelEl Ware? Then take Chomche at #31.

PG IQ - Carrington - JFL
SG Dick - Carrington - JFL
SF Barrett - Dick - Ochai
PF Barnes - Olynyk - Boucher
C Olynyk - Smith - Chomche
