Has there been a top 5 pick who weigh less than 165 lbs like Rob Dillingham? Maybe Iverson?

Dude is basically size of guys who do YMCA pick up runs

If you're willing to swing for a home run, you do it. This team has a clear talent deficit. I only see a few high upside players available at 19 or 31. I'm for acquiring more late picks in 20-40 range and gamble on some guys here. Should be cheap this draft.

At 31 I wouldn’t mind taking him and if he flops, so be it.

Would not mind drafting him with 19th pick if our scouts think he is a fast learner.

That's how I have always viewed this draft class.

I actually think it's a good draft class. Lots of interesting prospects. It actually seems deep to me.

It's just not a good draft class for tanking teams. Not many superstars (if any).

I think there are lots of quality players after 10 & into the second round.

like most bad drafts, would not be surprised if some of the better careers come later in the draft. players will get underrated in this draft.

I'll take Edey and Carrington. Monster beast and high ceiling project. This draft is murkey but we know Edey will have a funtional 15-20 minute role in this league worst case scenario. He'd join RJ and Kelly going to France with Canada Basketball. Carrington is perfect to develop in 905. We no doubt will be playing the market too for power forwards. We should offer sheet full mle for Precious. At worst it forces a Dolan overpay! Precious coming back might be our best offseason move. 13 mil.

Just like Sabonis? Tough draft. I think we need skill and shooting. His issue, for me, is toughness and rebounding. I’m not sure he has that in him.

Nice size, 58 TS%, 9.1 BPM, close to 3 stocks a game. Interesting option.

Am not forgiving Masai on the Jakob trade. It was awful and Masai basically admitted he did it in part cause Fred and pascal asked him to.
That being said, just a reminder if we didn’t convey the pick this year, it would convey next year in a much better draft.
Also, if the raps love a guy who will likely be gone by 19, moving up in the draft shouldn’t be difficult. Many teams will look to move down or out of the draft entirely. We could easily trade with Memphis for no. 9, for example. I could see the bulls trading no. 11 for Bruce brown and 31.

I think we'd easily be able to get into the late lottery if we package 19+31.

Not sure if it's even worth it though because we should be able to get two solid guys at those spots. This draft might not have star talent, but it looks pretty deep with potential rotation guys.

There should be plenty of options available to move up or acquire additional picks. Most realistic people do not see this team making noise next year. So, remove the trash at end of roster and take some chances at the draft.

I could see 19 and 31 for no 3 as well.

Not a single person evaluating him expected his wingspan to come in at 7' or over.

I doubt it. He’s probably top 5 no matter what. I’m betting on the Spurs at 4 because Dilly and Wemby is a problem.

I think Dilly only makes sense in SA if they really believe in his ceiling as a floor general and not just a scorer. For me the reservation comes because of his size which 100% is going to put some kind of limitation on his vision and passing and also his ability to get to the rim and finish at the NBA level. I could have sworn I recently saw some bit about how SA isn't looking for undersized players but maybe it's a smokescreen.

I knew he was big but damn

Gobert is 7'1 with a 7'9wingspan for comparison.

I wonder if Edey has the ability to try and become a lockdown rim protector
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

If Desmond Bane can find a way McCain can find a way. The scouting reports read similar in quite a few regards too.

In a draft like this, I don't think Edey will last until the Raps pick. He's just too big and accomplished to slide that far in a mediocre draft.

There are a lot of teams gunning for the playoffs that could easily take him in the 9-18 range.
