We're talking about what we heard and understood from his words, not from what you want. We all would like him back, but he sure didn't sound very positive given he has no symptoms or pain.

I think TJ is semi retiring & it's being kept quiet as we make a deal for a new replacement so we can deal from a position of strength & not from desperation. There is still a chance even after we get another PG he may come back & play out his contract as a 3rd option replacing Martin on the bench & used only as an injury replacement

If that is the case, then TJ just violated every rule of public relations.

If what you are saying were true, then TJ would just say that he was still feeling some lingering pain or that there were still some issues to be worked out before he could get clearance, etc.

The simple fact is that what TJ said is most likely absolutely true.

To me it smells like lawyers are all over this. Healthy, feeling 100% , back before the end of the season & even more specialists with obviously differing opinions. Is it possible TJ wants to take a risk that the Raps aren't willing to take. This many specialists mean that lawyers are heavily involved IMHO

Yeah something is wrotten in Denmark thats 4sure! And how long can we keep winning games with just Jose running the point? I think we are in a bad situation, and there isnt any decent 2nd string Pg's out there that are available, but then again BC is know for pulling PG's out hats. but i really wished we got more clarification about the situation! :nonono:

TJ said WHAT that he feels good, has no pain, is 100%, cleared by the doctors, but may come back sometime before seasons end. Is this the absolute truth that you refer to

To say that he will return before the end of the season means it isn't any time soon.

something is definitely fishy.

Think about it. You're 100% healed, and cleared to play, yet you don't because of mental issues? And its gonna take you a couple of months at the expense of the team's performance because of your mental, not physical, but mental problems?

That could be it. Whatever it is, I agree with a previous poster who said that if he gets injured again like this one or two more times then his career will be over.

There could be a lot of things going on behind the scenes, insurance issues, lawyers, and the league ruling on his condition. It

Even if this was true, so what? Mind is at least as much a part of a person as his body. Mental problems, physical problems, what's the difference?

As for TJ's status, I haven't read everything that has been posted, but I'm getting more confused by the day. First we had the Horford injury, which initially didn't seem that serious to me. Then it seemed the team thought it was pretty serious. Then we were told that that injury didn't aggravate any previous chronic condition. Now we have neither the team nor TJ providing any sort of even approximate date for his return, and TJ visiting more specialists when I thought his recovery would be well under way. I honestly don't know what to think.

Anyway, I hope TJ will recover soon and we will get a decent third PG ASAP.

Guys stop overreacting. You are looking into things that don't exist. TJ wants to be sure that when he comes back this time his body is 100% not 98% because he understands that one more collision could the last. His first comeback was rushed and could've been the reason for the second he is giving his body ample time to rest from the trauma suffered. Nothing more nothing less.

Bobcat thinks TJ might be too scared to return right now.

Just my opinion, if TJ has his way, he would be practicing right now. I mean, doing some light practice (shooting) isn't going to hurt his body what so ever.

I think the Raptors aren't going to clear him to do anything until they are 100% sure that TJ checks out ok. They weren't too happy about the Garbo incident.

It's hard to blame them, the Raptors are paying the bills afterall.

This could be true also. It seems like TJ was frustrated in his interview & was telling us something. I was expecting some dancing around the issues but like another poster stated it is easy for him just to say he still has a bit of a stinger. My feelings exactly but instead he boldly states, he is 100%. I am not trying to read anything into it but I am listening very carefully to what TJ is saying. I sure hope the Raps have not decided that the future with TJ is too risky a path & they are piling up legal medical opinions to force a Retirement / Semi Retirement which TJ is fighting

Thread title contains one of the best typos ever, in my opinion.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Yeah, it's weird that he said 'before the end of the season'. I mean we're close to the halfway point, so that's a long way off. OTOH, I recall him saying in his first interview post-Horford that he probably came back too soon that time and he'd be more cautious next time.

I think there is a certain mental aspect involved. (oh, and maybe it wasn't such a good thing that he said he'd like to end his career in Toronto). :o (I don't really think that's what was going on, but we could second guess until the cows come home). I just know I'd be a lot happier hearing that he was at least ready to start practicing, even if it wasn't full contact practice.
