I think the Wizards are ridiculously overhyped for a team thats always been borderline .500, yet they had an even more dismal season last year compared to us, we actually acheived 47Ws (which they haven't) and our roster has EASILY improved more then theirs.

If anything I think it will play out like this:

1. Cleveland
2. Orlando
3. Boston
4. & 5. Interchangeable between ATL or TOR
6. Chicago
7. & 8. Interchangeable between WAS, MIA and PHI

Hmmmm, our starting lineup, who will play 32-35 minutes a game, are jumpshooters with not enough balls to go around and have no inside presence at either end and are all defensively challenged. Once you take the rose coloured glasses off we're looking at a .500 record and maybe sneak into the 8th spot.

Gotta love this time of year, so much optimism. Just like Leaf fans who think because Kadri scored a pretty shootout goal he's the next Crosby and they have one player (recently acquired Kessel) who would be a top 6 forward on any other playoff team. Even then he' one dimensional, doesn't play defense and doesn't have Savard to set him up anymore but instead Matt Stajan. Oh yeah and the defense is big and slow and like to fight and barely carry the puck except for Kaberle, yeah that will go far in helping our anemic forwards.

Not to toot my own horn but I'm looking good for the Raps and Leafs, although my Raps prediction seems a little unrealistic. .500 is a pipe dream at this point. I thought I had predicted 38 wins but I must have made that change after that horrid preseason that everyone discounted.
