If people are feeling sad about our former players thriving on other teams, just remember they sucked playing together and lost to a screaming 9 year old in a pivotal game.

It seems some of you were Pascal/OG fans whereas the rest of us follow the team. Once they were traded i moved on, we got players over here.

He is consistdntly incredibly strong on the ball one those strip "blocks". Definitely one of of his best skills.

Ya, he did that for us. 12 in 3 games is wild and he's averaging 2 blocks for the month

From the few games I've seen Fred is moving much better than last year. He looked slower laterally last season dating back to the 2022 Sixers series injury. I was hard on him, on his D, but seems healthier now. Rockets are in freefall now however, 3-7 last 10

Our bigger problem was having the future 'face of the league' EXHAUSTED from the season hence FVV had to not only score but guard Zach Lavine on the other end.

Ultimately(screaming 9 year old or not), winning ain't easy, nobody could have imaged, after watching them lose at home in the play-in against ATL that the Heat could have made it to the NBA Finals as the 8th seed.

Sure Los, both the 2019 and 2023 Raptors are comparable because they both had noted Batman galactico Kawhi, right ??

I’m referring to the fact that they contributed heavily to our championship (OG had great moments the following year). That holds a lot more weight than a single play-in game.

Contributed in lesser roles than they played on the 2023 team, lesser roles that they were more capable of excelling in.

Also nice goalpost move Los, didn't realize when you said "focus on the championship" you also meant the season after in which there was no championship won by the Raptors?

The run it back season was fun but be real Los, no team trying to make Pascal Siakam its Batman was ever going to seriously compete for a championship. Time to move on Los, the Pascal/Fred/OG core was way too mid to be this sad that it's over.

You’re the one actually shifting the goal posts. Was Masai trying to make Pascal the “Batman” on this team? Why was he reportedly going after Giannis in 2020, KD in 2022 and Dame in 2023? Were they going to be the 2nd option behind Pascal?

I can’t believe how seriously you took such a harmless comment. I’m genuinely shocked you are so riled up about this.

Heading into the season after the championship (you brought up that season before I did so I will keep my response there), yes that was the (IMO stupidly) optimistic viewpoint of the organization. They were also maintaining flexibility for Giannis too, but it was the legitimate belief of Masai at the time that Siakam had that capability.

Will not address the KD 2022 and Dame 2023 pursuits because those occurred after Siakam had already proven without a shadow of a doubt that he was not a Batman level player.

Main point I'm trying to address is you talking about the Pascal/OG/Fred core with relevance to the championship season and the season after (which was a goalpost move by you to drag it in).

Not currently playing but on the topic of former Raptors...

Here's one I'd love to have in his prime right now and a fan favorite.

OG is hurt. Hope its nothing serious or long term, imagine the lawsuits coming from the Knicks if OG has to miss long period of time.

Individually all of our guys had something positive about them, together it was just not working on our poorly constructed team

Pascal vs OG Thursday. OG should be back, it's just elbow, not a lower leg injury . Knicks balling anyway beat Jazz tonight short-handed

People love to reference this brilliant trick Demar thought up but it really was a stroke of sheer genius that I tip my cap to.

It took a whole bunch of very specific circumstances for this plan to work. He had to be a beloved former raptor (or else security would've just escorted her and mom out). It had to be a little girl. It had to be an away game. It would only work for one game (a one-game playoff).

For those dissing the raptor players who it affected.....yah well, an 8 year old girl violently shrieking at the top of their lungs is literally hard-wired in an adult human male's brain to produce a response. Not unlike how we are hard-wired to be repulsed by the smell of rotting human flesh lol. This is literally why humans respond specifically to the sound of a human baby crying.

If the toronto crowd had any time to organize itself....we should've just started moderately cheering during our own team's free throws. The whole effectiveness of Demar's masterplan depended on the silence of a sold-out arena. If people had simply clapped during our free throws it would have made her violent shrieks less effective.

I still remember when Fred hit his half-court shot at the end of the first half and waved his finger at her like saying 'bad bad girl'. That was so endearing.

I'm not even joking. Demar was a genius for this.

Basketball fans have been trying to find ways to distract free throw shooters forever. I can honestly say, this was the greatest masterclass in that phenomenon of all time that could only be executed under the most specific circumstances.

Wow. A random person on twitter made a comment. How desperate are you? You are literally mining random twitter accounts. Not nba pundits or journos or players or coaches or execs. But twitter accounts.

Did you watch Lakers v Rockets? Lakers gameplan was to double team fred. He took 4 shots the entire game. Had 14 assists. They won by 10.

Oh look guys...this random guy in Houston posted something on twitter that confirms my priors. I AM LAUGHING OUT LOUD NOW.
