Yeah that's messed. Especially if you have a direct impact on the game. It's a shame for Porter. He could have had a long NBA career but instead he'll be playing in China if they would even accept him after this news.

I have a feeling that Jontay himself didn't believe he ever had a basketball career. I thi k he had already pivoted away from basketball judging by all the social media posts about stocks and investing. He probably thought he would leverage his 15 minutes of fame into a larger payday than a 2 way contract would ever be worth.

Playing on a bad team leads to non-competitive stuff like this. Guys flipping in and out of the line-up to rest, others playing poorly but being allowed to play through it, and this guy faking injuries/illness. This stuff just goes unnoticed because it was accepted that we wanted to lose. This to me a lesson about tanking and how it kills winning culture. I hope this is a wake up call for this team to start competing again.

Not saying I expect a play-in team next year, but these 30 point blowouts and lack of effort has to be stopped. Guys who are less than 26 years old should be playing as many games as possible. RJ Barrett at 23 played 58 total games this year, while Lebron at 39 played 71. That is just not right.
