If what he's saying is true, I would think Pops would lose interest in the organization because it's a bit shady. Dude's fighting for a job in the NBA and as soon as he plays a bit well, his chance at showcasing himself further is cut short because the Raptors are afraid other teams will offer him more money than the Raptors care to?

But I can also imagine the organization going to Pops and telling him that they guarantee him a contract next year, and since this season sucks anyways, they're gonna sit him so that he doesn't get hurt. Put that kind of spin on it, Pops would probably think the organization is classy.
